Zhengzhou City Vocational College is an ordinary higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Henan Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is a "Henan Provincial Vocational Education Characteristic College" and a "cradle of urban construction talents". Based in Zhengzhou, the national central city, the college focuses on cultivating high-end technical and skilled talents, and has cultivated tens of thousands of high-quality talents with innovative spirit, practical ability, trustworthiness and social responsibility for the urban construction and service industries.

学校提早布局BIM技术、绿色建筑、人工智能、新一代信息技术等前沿科技，共开办40余个专业及方向，形成了计算机应用技术、学前教育、电子商务、建筑工程技术、智能制造等五大特色专业（群），紧密对接国家新兴产业及人才紧缺行业。学校是全国唯一开设耐火材料专业的高职院校，聘请全国知名耐材行业专家担任首任院长，与地方政府共建现代化耐火材料实验实训室，深度绑定国内大型耐材企业，专门培养工程师和高级管理人才。

The college has early布局 in cutting-edge technologies such as BIM technology, green building, artificial intelligence, and new-generation information technology, offering more than 40 majors and directions. It has formed five characteristic majors (groups) including Computer Application Technology, Preschool Education, E-commerce, Construction Engineering Technology, and Intelligent Manufacturing, closely connecting with national emerging industries and talent-shortage industries. It is the only higher vocational college in China offering the Refractory Materials major, employing a nationally renowned expert in the refractory industry as the first dean. It has jointly built a modern refractory material experimental training room with local governments and deeply cooperated with large domestic refractory enterprises to specially cultivate engineers and senior management talents.

学校持续深化教学改革，落实“OBE”（结果导向）教学理念，成立“先行者工作室”等团队，带领学生参加各类专业技能竞赛并获大量国奖。配备100多个先进实验实训场馆、标准化示范性学生食堂和酒店式学生公寓，被学生称为“建在花园里的学校”。毕业生就业去向落实率连续五年保持在98%以上，专升本上岸率连年上升，为学生成就更好的自己提供有力支撑。

The college continues to deepen teaching reform, implement the "OBE" (Outcome-Based Education) teaching philosophy, and set up teams such as the "Pioneer Studio" to lead students to participate in various professional skill competitions and win many national awards. It is equipped with more than 100 advanced experimental training venues, standardized demonstration student canteens and hotel-style student apartments, known by students as "a school built in a garden". The employment rate of graduates has remained above 98% for five consecutive years, and the admission rate for undergraduate upgrading has been rising year by year, providing strong support for students to achieve a better self.
