郑州电力职业技术学院始建于1996年，2006年经河南省人民政府、教育部批准升格为全日制普通高等职业院校。学校地处中原经济区核心区域，坐落于郑州市贾鲁河南岸，毗邻郑州航空港区和绿博园，分郑州商都校区和开封祥符校区，总占地面积1500余亩，是一所生态型、现代化高等职业院校。

Zhengzhou Electric Power Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1996 and upgraded to a full-time ordinary higher vocational college with the approval of Henan Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education in 2006. Located in the core area of the Central Plains Economic Zone, the college is situated on the south bank of the Jialu River in Zhengzhou, adjacent to Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone and Green Expo Garden. It has two campuses (Zhengzhou Shangdu Campus and Kaifeng Xiangfu Campus) covering a total area of over 1500 mu, making it an ecological and modern higher vocational institution.

学校以电力技术类专业为特色，构建了电力工程、机电工程、信息工程等11个教学部门，开设50余个紧贴产业需求的专业，形成新型电力、智能制造、新能源汽车等八大专业集群。拥有170余个实验实训室，设备总值达1.9亿元，其电力实训中心获评省级高技能人才培养示范基地。现有在校生17000余人，专任教师近千人，2020年入选河南省"双高工程"建设高校，2024年跻身GDI全国民办高职院校百强第36位。

With electrical power technology majors as its特色, the college has established 11 teaching units including Electrical Power Engineering College and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering College, offering over 50 industry-oriented majors. These form eight professional clusters such as new electric power, intelligent manufacturing, and new energy vehicles. The college boasts more than 170 experimental training rooms with equipment总值 of 190 million yuan, and its electrical training center has been rated as a provincial-level high-skilled talent training demonstration base. It currently has over 17,000 students and nearly 1,000 full-time teachers. In 2020, it was selected as a construction university for Henan Province's "Double High-Level Project", and ranked 36th in the 2024 GDI National Top 100 Private Higher Vocational Colleges.

学校坚持"厚德精技、自强不息"校训，深化产教融合，与80余家龙头企业共建产业学院，毕业生就业率连续保持96%以上。建有省级众创空间和大学生创业园，推行"1+X"证书制度，双证获得率超90%，致力于培养服务区域经济的高素质技术技能人才，正全力推进职业本科教育建设。

Adhering to the motto of "Virtue and Skills, Self-Improvement", the college deepens industry-education integration and has established industry colleges with over 80 leading enterprises. The employment rate of graduates has remained above 96% for consecutive years. It has built a provincial-level makerspace and a college student entrepreneurship park, implemented the "1+X" certificate system with a double-certificate acquisition rate exceeding 90%, and is committed to cultivating high-quality technical talents serving regional economy while vigorously promoting the construction of vocational undergraduate education.
