郑州科技学院创建于1988年，2001年实施专科学历教育，2008年升格为普通本科高校。2016年顺利通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，2021年被批准为河南省硕士学位授予重点立项培育建设单位。建校37年来，为社会培养和输送了20多万名高素质应用型人才。

Zhengzhou University of Science and Technology was founded in 1988. It began offering specialist education in 2001 and was upgraded to a regular undergraduate university in 2008. In 2016, it successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment by the Ministry of Education, and in 2021, it was approved as a key project cultivation unit for master's degree authorization in Henan Province. Over the past 37 years since its establishment, it has cultivated and transported more than 200,000 high-quality applied talents for society.

学校设有15个二级学院（部），开设66个本专科专业，在校生近3.5万人。拥有300多万册纸质图书与100多万册电子图书，各类实验室180余个，实训车间20余个。形成了以工学为主，经济、管理、艺术、文学、教育等多学科协调发展的办学格局，致力于建设高水平应用型大学。

The university has 15 secondary colleges (departments), offering 66 undergraduate and specialized programs, with nearly 35,000 students. It boasts over 3 million printed books and more than 1 million e-books, along with over 180 laboratories of various types and more than 20 training workshops. It has formed a school-running pattern with engineering as the main focus, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as economics, management, art, literature, and education, striving to build a high-level application-oriented university.
