郑州旅游职业学院前身是创办于1985年的郑州旅游学校，2004年5月经河南省人民政府批准、教育部备案升格为公办高等院校。学校以“立德修能、知行合一”为校训，形成了“团结、勤勉、求实、创新”的校风，是中国旅游协会教育分会副会长单位、全国旅游教育五星联盟单位，先后荣获全国职业教育先进单位、河南省高水平高等职业学校和高水平专业建设工程建设单位等称号。

Zhengzhou Tourism Vocational College originated from Zhengzhou Tourism School founded in 1985. It was upgraded to a public higher education institution with the approval of Henan Provincial People's Government and the record of the Ministry of Education in May 2004. With the school motto of "Cultivating Morality and Ability, Integrating Knowledge and Practice", the college has formed a school spirit of "Unity, Diligence, Realism and Innovation". It is the vice-chairman unit of the Education Branch of China Tourism Association and a five-star alliance unit of national tourism education. It has successively won the title of National Advanced Unit of Vocational Education, and a construction unit of Henan Provincial High-level Higher Vocational Schools and High-level Professional Construction Project.

学校总占地面积1251亩，建筑面积58.7万平方米，其中新校区占地1036亩。现有全日制大中专在校生18663人，开设47个高职专业，涵盖旅游管理、酒店管理、烹饪工艺与营养等领域，其中国家级骨干专业4个、中央财政支持重点建设专业2个。校内建有193个实训室，馆藏纸质图书135万余册，与洲际酒店集团、上海迪士尼度假区等290余家企业建立实习就业合作关系，毕业生去向落实率连续多年保持在94.7%以上。

The college covers a total area of 1251 mu with a construction area of 587,000 square meters, including 1036 mu for the new campus. Currently, it has 18,663 full-time students, offering 47 higher vocational majors covering tourism management, hotel management, culinary arts and nutrition, etc. Among them, there are 4 national-level key majors and 2 key construction majors supported by the central finance. The college has built 193 training rooms with more than 1.35 million paper books in the library. It has established internship and employment cooperative relations with more than 290 enterprises such as InterContinental Hotels Group and Shanghai Disney Resort, and the employment rate of graduates has remained above 94.7% for many years.
