郑州美术学院是经教育部批准成立的全日制本科院校，前身是创办于2001年的郑州轻工业大学易斯顿美术学院，2023年6月独立建制为郑州美术学院。学校以“创建高水平特色美术学院”为目标，秉承“集百家之长，创自我风格”的办学宗旨，设有美术学、设计学2个一级学科，涵盖绘画、雕塑、视觉传达设计等8个本科专业，其中雕塑、服装与服饰设计为省级一流本科专业建设点。

Zhengzhou Academy of Fine Arts is a full-time undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the Yisidun Academy of Fine Arts of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, founded in 2001, and it was established as an independent institution in June 2023. Aiming to "build a high-level characteristic academy of fine arts", the university adheres to the educational philosophy of "absorbing strengths from all and creating its own style". It has 2 first-level disciplines (Fine Arts and Design) covering 8 undergraduate majors such as Painting, Sculpture, and Visual Communication Design, with Sculpture and Fashion Design being provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites.

学校重视实践育人，建有艺术展览中心、3个写生园区及5个专业实训场所，配备40个专业工作室和朱仙镇木版年画等3个非遗项目传习中心，校外实践基地超100个。师资队伍中既有中国美术家协会会员，也有国际展览实践型艺术家，还聘请马国强、靳埭强等知名专家担任名誉教授，近五年学生获国际及国家级奖项700余项。

The university emphasizes practical education, with an art exhibition center, 3 sketching parks, 5 professional training sites, 40 specialized studios, and 3 intangible cultural heritage inheritance centers (e.g., Zhu仙镇 Woodblock New Year Paintings). It has over 100 off-campus practice bases. The faculty includes members of the China Artists Association, international exhibition artists, and renowned experts like Ma Guoqiang and Kan Tai-keung as honorary professors. In the past five years, students have won over 700 international and national awards.
