郑州铁路职业技术学院创建于1951年，1958年至1963年举办本科教育，1994年全国首批举办高等职业教育，1999年经教育部批准成为全日制普通高等学校，是河南省唯一公办轨道交通类高职院校、全国铁路系统第一所独立设置的高等职业技术学院，是国家骨干高职院校、国家级优质高职院校、国家“双高计划”建设单位。

Zhengzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1951. It offered undergraduate education from 1958 to 1963, became one of the first institutions in China to provide higher vocational education in 1994, and was approved by the Ministry of Education as a full-time regular higher education institution in 1999. It is the only public vocational college specializing in rail transportation in Henan Province and the first independently established higher vocational and technical college in China's railway system. It is a National Key Vocational College, a National High-quality Vocational College, and a construction unit of the National "Double High Plan".

学校位于中国铁路重要交通枢纽、河南省政治、经济、文化中心郑州市中心城区，新校区位于地理位置优越、发展前景广阔的郑东新区，总占地面积1081810平方米，建筑面积687845平方米。固定资产总值14.54亿元，其中教学仪器设备固定资产总值3.74亿元，图书馆藏书112万册。设置有16个教学院（部）、6个书院，交通运输、医药卫生、财经商贸、电子信息、土木建筑、装备制造、文化艺术、旅游、食品药品9大类49个专业协调发展，面向全国招生，全日制在校生23000余人。

The college is located in the central urban area of Zhengzhou, a major railway hub in China and the political, economic, and cultural center of Henan Province. Its new campus is situated in the Zhengdong New District, which boasts a superior geographical location and broad development prospects. The total占地面积 is 1,081,810 square meters, with a building area of 687,845 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 1.454 billion yuan, including 374 million yuan worth of teaching instruments and equipment. The library houses 1.12 million books. The college has 16 teaching schools (departments) and 6 colleges, offering 49 majors across 9 categories, including transportation, medicine and health, finance and commerce, electronic information, civil engineering and construction, equipment manufacturing, culture and art, tourism, and food and pharmaceuticals. It enrolls students nationwide, with over 23,000 full-time students.
