Akdeniz University is located in Antalya, southwestern Turkey, and serves as a key higher education and research center in the country's Western Mediterranean region. Established in 1982, its main campus is situated west of Antalya's city center, covering an area of approximately 3.74 square kilometers, just a 15-minute drive from the famous Konyaaltı Beach. As one of Turkey's larger public research universities, it comprises 24 faculties, 7 institutes, 1 conservatory, 12 vocational schools, and 57 research application centers, with over 64,000 students and around 4,300 faculty members.
