大连财经学院是经国家教育部批准，由原东北财经大学津桥商学院转设组建的一所以经济学、管理学为主，兼有文学、法学、艺术学等五大学科门类交叉渗透、协调发展的多科性民办高等学府。学校始建于2001年，2013年转设为独立设置的地方性、应用型财经类本科高校，归辽宁省教育厅管理，2015年被确定为辽宁省首批全面向应用型转变试点高校。

Dalian University of Finance and Economics is a multi-disciplinary private institution approved by the Ministry of Education, evolved from the Jinqiao Business School of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. It primarily focuses on economics and management, while integrating literature, law, and arts. Founded in 2001, it was restructured into an independent local application-oriented undergraduate university in 2013, under the administration of Liaoning Provincial Department of Education. In 2015, it was selected as one of Liaoning's first pilot universities for transforming into application-oriented institutions.

学校位于海滨城市大连，毗邻金石滩与大黑山风景区，校园环境优雅，教学设施现代化。现设有11个教学单位，开设31个本科专业，经济管理类专业占比82.8%，会计学、金融学为辽宁省一流本科教育示范专业。拥有馆藏纸质图书180余万册、电子图书160万册的现代化图书馆，以及6个校级现代产业学院（其中3个为省级），构建了"通识教育+专业教育+实践教学"的人才培养体系，2023年获评辽宁省高校毕业生就业见习示范单位。

Located in the coastal city of Dalian, adjacent to Jinshitan Scenic Area and Daheishan Scenic Area, the university boasts an elegant campus environment and modern teaching facilities. It comprises 11 teaching units offering 31 undergraduate programs, with 82.8% specializing in economics and management. Accounting and Finance are designated as Liaoning Provincial First-class Undergraduate Education Demonstration Programs. The university features a modern library with over 1.8 million physical books and 1.6 million e-books, along with 6 university-level modern industrial colleges (3 at provincial level). It has established a talent cultivation system integrating "general education + professional education + practical teaching" and was awarded the "Liaoning Provincial College Graduate Employment Internship Demonstration Unit" in 2023.
