阿克苏职业技术学院是一所隶属阿克苏地区行署管理的全日制普通综合高等职业院校，始终秉持“厚德爱土、重技笃行”的校训，恪守“改革创新、科学发展、自强不息、追求卓越”的精神，坚持“以胡杨精神育人，为兴疆固边服务”的理念，培养服务区域经济社会发展的高素质技术技能型人才，2020年10月成功申报并成为南疆唯一一所自治区优质高等职业技术学院建设单位。

Aksu Vocational and Technical College is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational college under the administration of the Aksu Prefectural Government. It has always upheld the school motto of "Virtue and Love for the Land, Emphasis on Skills and笃行", adhered to the spirit of "Reform and Innovation, Scientific Development, Self-improvement, and Pursuit of Excellence", and insisted on the concept of "Educating People with the Spirit of Populus euphratica and Serving the Prosperity and Stability of Xinjiang". It cultivates high-quality technical and skilled talents serving regional economic and social development. In October 2020, it successfully applied and became the only construction unit of autonomous region-level high-quality higher vocational colleges in southern Xinjiang.

学院校园占地面积1162亩，建筑面积17.87万平方米，设有医药卫生、农林牧、文化教育、机电工程、艺术等12大类34个高职专业，中高职五年一贯制贯通培养专业10个，应用型人才培养试点本科专业7个，形成了以应用型本科教育为试点，高职教育为主体，中职、职业培训及鉴定、成人继续教育并存的完备职业教育体系。学院是教育部等国家六部委指定的西北五省首批护理专业技能型紧缺人才示范性培养培训基地，全国高职高专人才培养工作水平评估优秀单位、全国职业技能大赛自治区选拔赛承办基地、自治区第二批开设“4+0”和“3+2”应用型本科试点院校，先后获得国家级荣誉称号6项、自治区级荣誉称号36项。

The college covers an area of 1162 mu with a building area of 178,700 square meters. It offers 34 higher vocational majors in 12 categories including medicine and health, agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry, culture and education, mechanical and electrical engineering, and art, 10 five-year consistent training majors for secondary and higher vocational education, and 7 pilot undergraduate majors for applied talent training. It has formed a complete vocational education system with applied undergraduate education as a pilot, higher vocational education as the main body, and secondary vocational education, vocational training and appraisal, and adult continuing education coexisting. The college is the first demonstration training base for skilled talents in nursing majors in the five northwestern provinces designated by six national ministries including the Ministry of Education. It is an excellent unit in the evaluation of talent training in national higher vocational colleges, a base for undertaking the autonomous region selection competition of the National Vocational Skills Competition, and the second batch of pilot colleges for "4+0" and "3+2" applied undergraduate programs in the autonomous region. It has won 6 national honorary titles and 36 autonomous region-level honorary titles.
