宁波诺丁汉大学是经中国教育部批准，由英国诺丁汉大学与浙江万里学院合作创办的中国第一所引进世界一流大学优质资源、具有独立法人资格和独立校区的中外合作大学，于2004年正式开学。学校采用全英文教学，课程设置与英国诺丁汉大学保持一致，学生毕业后可获得英国诺丁汉大学学位证书和宁波诺丁汉大学毕业证书、学位证书。

Ningbo Nottingham University, approved by the Ministry of Education of China, is the first Sino-foreign cooperative university in China with independent legal personality and independent campus, founded by the University of Nottingham in the UK and Zhejiang Wanli University. It officially opened in 2004. The university adopts all-English teaching, and the curriculum is consistent with that of the University of Nottingham in the UK.
