重庆资源与环境保护职业学院是经重庆市人民政府批准、教育部备案设立的全日制普通高等院校（学校代码：14557），由重庆崛起投资股份有限公司投资举办，是一所专科层次以环保类专业为主的高等职业学校，全日制在校生规模暂定6000人。学院位于中国石刻之乡、西部五金之都的重庆市大足区龙岗街道西禅社区，设环境工程系、环境科学系、循环经济与低碳经济系等七个系，按照环境保护全过程管理理念开设20个以上专业，建立从源头清洁生产到末端工程治理的专业体系，首期开设环境工程技术、环境评价与咨询服务等六个专业。

Chongqing Vocational College of Resources and Environmental Protection is a full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education (school code: 14557). Invested and run by Chongqing Rising Investment Co., Ltd., it is a higher vocational school at the junior college level focusing on environmental protection-related majors, with a tentative full-time student enrollment of 6,000. Located in Xichan Community, Longgang Street, Dazu District, Chongqing, known as the hometown of stone carvings in China and the capital of hardware in western China, the college has seven departments including the Department of Environmental Engineering, Department of Environmental Science, Department of Circular Economy and Low-Carbon Economy, etc. Following the concept of whole-process environmental protection management, it offers more than 20 majors, establishing a professional system covering from source cleaner production to end-of-pipe engineering governance, with six initial majors such as Environmental Engineering Technology and Environmental Assessment and Consulting Services.

学院重视师资队伍建设，依靠重庆大学、西南大学等高校师资优势，引进高层次人才并聘请知名专家为客座教授，已招聘专任教师70人、管理工作人员36人；加强图书馆藏建设，力争5年内各类图书（含电子图书）达到50万册，生均100册。学院鼓励学生通过专衔本、专升本等方式获得本科文凭，与国外知名大学建立合作办学，为学生出国深造提供机会，秉承“一切为了学生、服务学生的终生发展”的办学理念，是我国西部地区唯一一所资源与环境保护专门人才培养的学校。

The college attaches great importance to the construction of the teaching staff, relying on the faculty advantages of universities such as Chongqing University and Southwest University, introducing high-level talents and hiring renowned experts as visiting professors, with 70 full-time teachers and 36 administrative staff recruited so far. It strengthens the construction of library collections, striving to reach 500,000 books (including e-books) within 5 years, with 100 books per student. The college encourages students to obtain undergraduate diplomas through methods such as junior college to undergraduate bridging programs and junior college to undergraduate promotion, and has established cooperative education with well-known foreign universities to provide opportunities for students to study abroad. Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "Everything for students, serving their lifelong development", it is the only school in western China specializing in cultivating talents in resources and environmental protection.
