山东艺术设计职业学院始建于1985年，前身为中国书画函授大学济南分校，2014年经山东省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案，升格为全日制普通高等职业院校，是山东省第三所独立设置的艺术类普通高校，也是全省唯一一所以应用型艺术人才培养为主要办学特色的高等职业学校。学校位于泉城济南，现有黄台和济阳两个校区，主校区地处济南市天桥区历山北路黄台山南麓，环境优美，交通便利。

Shandong Vocational College of Art and Design was founded in 1985, formerly known as Jinan Branch of China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University. In 2014, it was approved by the People's Government of Shandong Province and registered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, upgraded to a full-time ordinary higher vocational college. It is the third independently established ordinary art college in Shandong Province and the only higher vocational school in the province with the main school-running characteristic of cultivating applied art talents. The college is located in Jinan, the Spring City, with two campuses: Huangtai and Jiyang. The main campus is located at the southern foot of Huangtai Mountain, Lishan North Road, Tianqiao District, Jinan, with beautiful environment and convenient transportation.

学校秉承“明德笃行、求真致美”的校训，坚持“艺术与科技融合，传承与创新并举”的办学理念，设有智慧空间设计学院、创意设计学院、音乐舞蹈学院、数字传媒学院等多个二级学院，开设环境艺术设计、视觉传达设计、音乐表演、影视动画等20余个专业，涵盖艺术设计、广播影视、表演艺术等多个领域。学校重视实践教学，推行导师工作室制教学体系，拥有“虚拟现实（VR）工程实验平台”“服装工程实验平台”等多个实习实训基地，为学生提供了良好的实践条件。

Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Persistence, Truth and Beauty" and the school-running philosophy of "Integration of Art and Technology, Inheritance and Innovation", the college has established several secondary colleges such as School of Smart Space Design, School of Creative Design, School of Music and Dance, School of Digital Media, etc. It offers more than 20 majors including Environmental Art Design, Visual Communication Design, Music Performance, Film and Television Animation, covering art design, radio, film and television, performing arts and other fields. The college attaches great importance to practical teaching, implements the tutorial studio teaching system, and has a number of internship and training bases such as "Virtual Reality (VR) Engineering Experiment Platform" and "Clothing Engineering Experiment Platform", providing good practical conditions for students.
