重庆旅游职业学院成立于2010年3月，是重庆市人民政府设立、教育部备案的公办高职院校，坐落于重庆市黔江区4A级景区城市大峡谷旁。学院区位优势独特，地处渝鄂湘黔四省市毗邻的武陵山区，周边旅游资源富集，邻近濯水古镇、小南海等知名景区，位于重庆、张家界、凤凰古城等世界级旅游目的地中心地带。

Chongqing Vocational Institute of Tourism, founded in March 2010, is a public vocational college established by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is located beside the 4A-level scenic spot of Urban Grand Canyon in Qianjiang District, Chongqing. The college enjoys a unique geographical advantage, situated in the Wuling Mountain area adjacent to the four provinces/municipalities of Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan, and Guizhou, with rich surrounding tourism resources. It is close to famous scenic spots such as Zhuoshui Ancient Town and Xiaonanhai, and lies in the central area of world-class tourist destinations including Chongqing, Zhangjiajie, and Fenghuang Ancient Town.

学院办学条件完善，占地300余亩，校舍面积37万余平方米，图书馆馆藏图书29万余册，拥有30余个专业实训室。现有教职工500余人，其中博士、硕士学位280余人，高级职称教师100余人，国家级、市级非遗传承人及高技能人才50余人。开设旅游管理、酒店管理与数字化运营、工艺美术品设计等30余个专业，涵盖旅游全产业链，其中工艺美术品设计专业是全国职业院校民族文化传承与创新示范专业点。

The college has well-equipped facilities, covering an area of over 300 mu with a school building area of more than 370,000 square meters. The library has a collection of over 290,000 books and more than 30 professional training rooms. There are over 500 faculty members, including more than 280 with doctoral or master's degrees, over 100 senior title teachers, and more than 50 national and municipal intangible cultural heritage inheritors and high-skilled talents. It offers more than 30 majors such as Tourism Management, Hotel Management and Digital Operation, and Arts and Crafts Design, covering the entire tourism industry chain. Among them, the Arts and Crafts Design major is a national vocational college demonstration site for inheritance and innovation of national culture.
