兰州城市学院是2006年经教育部批准设置的一所省属全日制普通本科院校，位于甘肃省会兰州市。学校前身是始建于1958年的兰州师范高等专科学校和新西兰友人路易·艾黎于1942年创办的培黎石油学校。2007年8月，经甘肃省政府批准，甘肃省幼儿师范学校整体并入学校。2015年成为甘肃省首批应用技术大学试点高校，2017年被列为硕士学位授予立项建设单位，2024年获批硕士学位授予单位。

Lanzhou City University is a provincial full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education in 2006, located in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province. The predecessor of the university was Lanzhou Normal College founded in 1958 and Bailie Petroleum School founded by New Zealand friend Rewi Alley in 1942. In August 2007, with the approval of the Gansu Provincial Government, Gansu Provincial Preschool Normal School was fully merged into the university. In 2015, it became one of the first pilot universities for applied technology in Gansu Province, was listed as a master's degree-granting project construction unit in 2017, and approved as a master's degree-granting unit in 2024.

学校现有校本部、培黎校区、城关校区三个校区，占地面积43.37万平方米，校舍建筑面积43.4万平方米。固定资产总值10.87亿元，其中教学科研仪器设备值2.18亿元。馆藏纸质文献139.04万册，电子图书100.08万册，电子资源数据库31个。现有二级教学单位18个，全日制本科在校生1.6万余人，涵盖工学、理学、经济学、教育学、文学等9个学科门类，形成了服务城市类、教师教育类、工程技术类三大专业集群。

The university currently has three campuses: the main campus, Bailie Campus, and Chengguan Campus, covering an area of 433,700 square meters with a building area of 434,000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 1.087 billion yuan, including 218 million yuan worth of teaching and research instruments and equipment. The library has 1.3904 million printed documents, 1.0008 million e-books, and 31 electronic resource databases. There are 18 secondary teaching units and more than 16,000 full-time undergraduate students, covering 9 disciplines including engineering, science, economics, education, and literature, forming three major professional clusters: urban service, teacher education, and engineering technology.
