长沙幼儿师范高等专科学校是一所有深厚历史底蕴、有光辉红色印记、有鲜明办学特色、有突出社会贡献、有美好发展前景的百年老校。1903年，中国近代民主革命家周震鳞先生创办宁乡驻省中学堂兼设速成师范科为学校前身，1925年学校成立了湖南最早的共产党基层组织之一宁觉支部。2020年学校由湖南省宁乡师范学校和长沙艺术实验学校合并升格为全日制公办普通高等学校，2022年9月搬迁至湘江新区华强大道177号新校区，占地600亩。

Changsha Preschool Education College is a century-old school with profound historical heritage, glorious red marks, distinct school-running characteristics, outstanding social contributions and promising development prospects. In 1903, Mr. Zhou Zhenlin, a modern Chinese democratic revolutionary, founded Ningxiang Provincial Middle School and set up a crash normal education section as the predecessor of the school. In 1925, the school established Ningjue Branch, one of the earliest Communist Party grassroots organizations in Hunan. In 2020, the school was upgraded to a full-time public ordinary higher education institution by merging Ningxiang Normal School of Hunan Province and Changsha Art Experimental School. In September 2022, it moved to the new campus at No. 177 Huaqiang Avenue, Xiangjiang New Area, covering an area of 600 mu.

学校现有教职工近400人，其中教授6人，副教授105人；硕士研究生189人，占在编教职工总数的55.2%。2024年秋季学期在校学生近7200人，设有学前教育学院、艺术学院、信息技术学院等五个学院，开设有学前教育、早期教育、婴幼儿托育服务与管理、舞蹈表演（教育）、美术教育等17个专业。学校先后获评全国教育系统先进集体、全国模范教工之家、第五届全国黄炎培职业教育优秀学校、湖南省文明标兵校园等荣誉，2022年7月学前教育专业群和数字媒体技术专业群入选湖南省楚怡高水平专业群。

The school currently has nearly 400 faculty members, including 6 professors and 105 associate professors; 189 master's degree holders, accounting for 55.2% of the total number of faculty members. In the autumn semester of 2024, there are nearly 7,200 students on campus. It has five colleges including the School of Preschool Education, the School of Art, and the School of Information Technology, offering 17 majors such as preschool education, early childhood education, infant care service and management, dance performance (education), and art education. The school has successively been awarded honors such as the Advanced Collective of the National Education System, the National Model Faculty Home, the Fifth National Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Excellent School, and the Hunan Provincial Civilized Model Campus. In July 2022, the preschool education professional group and the digital media technology professional group were selected into the Hunan Chuyi High-Level Professional Group.
