佛山职业技术学院成立于2000年6月，是经广东省人民政府批准设立、佛山市人民政府举办和主管的一所全日制公立普通高等学校。学校坐落于佛山市国家级工业园三水园区腹地，总占地面积956亩，建筑面积近30万平方米，全日制在校生超万人，设有智能制造学院、电子信息学院等8个二级学院，校训为“修身笃学 长技创新”。

Foshan Polytechnic was established in June 2000. It is a full-time public higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and sponsored and administered by the People's Government of Foshan City. Located in the hinterland of Sanshui Park, a national-level industrial park in Foshan, the university covers a total area of 956 mu with a building area of nearly 300,000 square meters. It has over 10,000 full-time students and 8 secondary colleges including the College of Intelligent Manufacturing and the College of Electronic Information. Its school motto is "Cultivate Morality, Diligently Learn, Master Skills and Innovate".

学校是国家级高技能人才培训基地、广东省示范性高等职业院校，形成以机械设计与制造专业群为龙头的10大专业群，其中省级高水平专业群5个，现有40多个招生专业，包括中央财政支持重点专业2个、国家级骨干专业4个。建有校内外实训基地400余个，其中国家级公共实训中心2个、虚拟仿真实训中心1个，与华为、美的等近1600家企业开展合作，常年设立企业冠名订单班40余个。

The university is a national high-skilled talent training base and a model higher vocational college in Guangdong Province. It has formed 10 major professional groups led by the mechanical design and manufacturing professional group, including 5 provincial-level high-level professional groups. Currently, it offers over 40 enrollment majors, including 2 key majors supported by the central finance and 4 national-level backbone majors. It has built more than 400 on-campus and off-campus training bases, including 2 national-level public training centers and 1 virtual simulation training center. It has carried out cooperation with nearly 1,600 enterprises such as Huawei and Midea, and has established more than 40 enterprise-named order classes all year round.
