广东理工学院是经国家教育部批准设立的全日制普通本科院校，位于广东省肇庆市，是一所以工科为主，经、管、文、艺术、教育学等多学科协调发展的地方应用型高等学校。学校肇始于1995年创建的肇庆科技培训学校，历经肇庆科技学校、肇庆科技职业技术学院等发展阶段，2014年升格为本科院校并更名为广东理工学院，2018年获批学士学位授予单位。

Guangdong Polytechnic College is a full-time ordinary undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education of China, located in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. It is a local application-oriented university focusing on engineering, with coordinated development of multiple disciplines including economics, management, literature, art, and education. The university originated from Zhaoqing Science and Technology Training School founded in 1995, went through developmental stages such as Zhaoqing Science and Technology School and Zhaoqing Science and Technology Vocational and Technical College, was upgraded to an undergraduate institution and renamed Guangdong Polytechnic College in 2014, and obtained the qualification as a bachelor's degree-granting unit in 2018.

学校现有高要、鼎湖两个校区，总占地面积91.86万平方米，建筑总面积69.17万平方米。设有14个教学单位，开设37个本科专业，涵盖工学、经济学、管理学、文学、艺术学、教育学等6大学科门类，其中工学类专业20个，占专业总数的54.05%。现有教职工2227人，全日制在校生33657人，馆藏图书总量399.03万册，教学科研仪器设备资产总值20709.6万元。

The university currently has two campuses, Gaoyao and Dinghu, with a total area of 918,600 square meters and a total building area of 691,700 square meters. It has 14 teaching units and offers 37 undergraduate majors covering 6 disciplines including engineering, economics, management, literature, art, and education, among which 20 are engineering majors, accounting for 54.05% of the total number of majors. The university has 2,227 faculty members, 33,657 full-time students, a total collection of 3.9903 million books, and the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 207.096 million yuan.

It has 2 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 5 provincial first-class undergraduate courses, and 2 provincial key disciplines, forming distinctive features in intelligent manufacturing, electronic information, big data application and other fields. It is a national applied talent training project base, a national mass innovation space, and a training base for standardized engineering and technical personnel in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
