甘肃钢铁职业技术学院坐落于甘肃省嘉峪关市，由酒泉钢铁（集团）有限责任公司创办，是甘肃省唯一一所国有企业举办的高等职业院校，前身是1978年建校的酒钢公司职工大学。学校与甘肃省冶金高级技术学院实行中高职一体化办学，分设兰新、东湖两个校区，总占地面积855亩，现有教职工339人，开设冶金工程、焊接技术、机电工程等29个高职专业。

Gansu Iron and Steel Vocational Technical College is located in Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province. Founded by Jiuquan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., it is the only higher vocational college run by a state-owned enterprise in Gansu Province. Its predecessor was Jiugang Company Staff University founded in 1978. The college carries out integrated secondary and higher vocational education with Gansu Metallurgical Senior Technical College, with two campuses (Lanxin and Donghu) covering a total area of 855 mu. It has 339 faculty members and offers 29 higher vocational majors including metallurgical engineering, welding technology, and mechanical and electrical engineering.

学校坚持"崇技尚能、济世立身"的校训，构建了以冶金、材料为特色，机械、电气为支撑的专业体系，拥有国家级骨干专业1个、省级骨干专业3个，建成世界技能大赛中国集训基地、国家级焊冶生产性实训基地等32个实训平台。与酒钢集团、中核集团等102家企业开展订单式培养，毕业生就业率连续多年保持在95%以上，培养出全国劳动模范杜钧等大批优秀技术技能人才。

Adhering to the school motto of "Valuing Skills and Ability, Serving Society and Establishing Oneself", the college has built a professional system featuring metallurgy and materials, supported by machinery and electrical engineering. It has 1 national-level key major, 3 provincial-level key majors, and 32 training platforms including the WorldSkills China Training Base and the National Welding and Metallurgy Productive Training Base. It carries out order-based training with 102 enterprises including Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group and China National Nuclear Corporation. The employment rate of graduates has remained above 95% for many years, cultivating a large number of outstanding technical talents such as Du Jun, a national model worker.
