甘肃交通职业技术学院前身为1956年创办的甘肃省交通学校，2003年由原甘肃省交通学校与甘肃省交通干部学校合并组建，是甘肃省唯一一所交通类公办普通高等职业院校，坐落于兰州新区职教园区，毗邻兰州中川国际机场，区位优势显著。学校是甘肃省优质高等职业院校、甘肃省“双高计划”建设院校，先后荣获全国现代学徒制试点单位、教育部国防教育特色学校、全国职业院校数字校园建设样板校等多项荣誉称号。

Gansu Vocational and Technical College of Communications traces its roots to Gansu Provincial Traffic School founded in 1956. It was established in 2003 through the merger of the former Gansu Provincial Traffic School and Gansu Provincial Traffic Cadre School. As the only public higher vocational college specializing in transportation in Gansu Province, it is located in the Vocational Education Park of Lanzhou New Area, adjacent to Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport, boasting a prominent geographical advantage. The college is a high-quality higher vocational college in Gansu Province and a construction institution of Gansu's "Double High Plan", having successively won multiple honors such as National Modern Apprenticeship Pilot Unit, Ministry of Education National Defense Education Characteristic School, and National Vocational College Digital Campus Construction Model School.

学校占地1197亩，校舍建筑面积34.17万平方米，现有全日制在校生1.5万余人，设有10个二级学院，开设35个覆盖公路桥梁、智能交通、新能源汽车、现代物流等领域的专业，其中国家级骨干专业5个、省级特色专业6个。校内建有96个专业实训室及1个国家级虚拟仿真基地，“双师型”教师占比达65.13%，拥有全国交通运输职业教育教学名师、省级教学名师等各类优秀教师30余人。

Covering an area of 1197 mu with a building area of 341,700 square meters, the college has over 15,000 full-time students and 10 secondary colleges, offering 35 majors covering fields such as highway bridges, intelligent transportation, new energy vehicles, and modern logistics. Among these, there are 5 national-level key majors and 6 provincial-level characteristic majors. The college has built 96 professional training rooms and 1 national-level virtual simulation base on campus. "Double-qualified" teachers account for 65.13% of the faculty, including over 30 outstanding teachers such as National Transportation Vocational Education Teaching Masters and Provincial Teaching Masters.

学校坚持“立足交通行业、推动校企融合、服务区域经济、打造技能人才”的办学定位，牵头组建3个省级职教集团和3个全国性产教融合共同体，与上汽大众、宁德时代等130余家企业建立深度合作关系，建成京东产业学院等特色育人平台。近三年毕业生去向落实率均保持在96%以上，用人单位满意度达95%，为甘肃乃至西北地区交通行业培养了数万名高素质技术技能人才，被誉为“交通专业技术人才的摇篮”。

Adhering to the school-running orientation of "based on the transportation industry, promoting school-enterprise integration, serving regional economy, and cultivating skilled talents", the college has taken the lead in establishing 3 provincial vocational education groups and 3 national industry-education integration communities. It has established in-depth cooperative relations with more than 130 enterprises such as SAIC Volkswagen and CATL, and built characteristic education platforms such as JD.com Industry College. In the past three years, the employment rate of graduates has remained above 96%, and the satisfaction rate of employers has reached 95%. It has cultivated tens of thousands of high-quality technical and skilled talents for the transportation industry in Gansu and even northwest China, and is known as "the cradle of transportation professional and technical talents".
