广州工程技术职业学院是经广东省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的广州市属普通高校，创办于1964年，前身为广州业余工业科技学院，历经多次更名与发展，于2004年正式改制为现名。学校以先进制造、石油化工和信息类专业为主，经、管、商、贸协调发展，是一所综合性高等职业学校，同时也是广东省高水平高职院校建设单位（培育）及广东省高等职业教育数字化标杆学校建设单位。

Guangzhou Institute of Technology is a public college affiliated to Guangzhou, approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1964, its predecessor was Guangzhou Amateur Institute of Industrial Technology. After several renamings and developments, it was officially restructured into its current name in 2004. The college mainly focuses on advanced manufacturing, petrochemical, and information-related majors, with coordinated development of economics, management, commerce, and trade. It is a comprehensive higher vocational school, and also a construction unit (cultivation) of Guangdong Provincial High-level Vocational Colleges and a construction unit of Digital Benchmark School for Higher Vocational Education in Guangdong Province.

学校现有环市东、从化、黄埔、龙洞、东川5个校区，设有机电工程学院、信息工程学院、石油化工学院等9个教学单位，开设专业30个，全日制在校生近10000人。学校始终坚持“立品、为学、禀艺、砺身”的院训，以培养具有现代竞争意识和综合职业能力的高素质技术技能型人才为目标，毕业生就业率连续多年位居全省前列，95%以上留粤就业，主要服务于珠三角地区的先进制造、信息技术等产业领域。

The college currently has 5 campuses: Huanshi East, Conghua, Huangpu, Longdong, and Dongchuan. It has 9 teaching units including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Information Engineering, and School of Petrochemical Engineering, offering 30 majors with nearly 10,000 full-time students. Adhering to the motto of "Cultivating Morality, Pursuing Learning, Mastering Skills, and Strengthening Physique", the college aims to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents with modern competitive awareness and comprehensive vocational abilities. The employment rate of graduates has ranked among the top in the province for many years, with over 95% staying in Guangdong for employment, mainly serving the advanced manufacturing, information technology and other industrial fields in the Pearl River Delta region.
