广州中医药大学是新中国首批兴建的4所中医药高等学府之一，1956年成立，原直属卫生部、国家中医药管理局领导，2000年转由广东省人民政府管理。学校是国家“双一流”建设高校，也是广东省高水平大学重点建设高校，始终致力于中医药人才培养、科学研究、社会服务和文化传承创新。

Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine is one of the first four institutions of higher learning for Chinese medicine established in New China. Founded in 1956, it was originally directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Health and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and was transferred to the management of the People's Government of Guangdong Province in 2000. As a national "Double First-Class" construction university and a key construction university of high-level universities in Guangdong Province, the university has always been committed to talent training, scientific research, social services, and cultural inheritance and innovation in Chinese medicine.

学校现有三元里、大学城和深圳3个校区，设有17个学院，开设29个本科专业，涵盖医、工、管、理、经、文、教等多个学科门类。拥有国家级重点学科4个，国家中医药管理局重点学科25个，形成了以中医药为主体、多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。

The university currently has three campuses: Sanyuanli, University Town, and Shenzhen, with 17 colleges offering 29 undergraduate majors covering multiple disciplines such as medicine, engineering, management, science, economics, literature, and education. It has 4 national key disciplines and 25 key disciplines of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, forming a disciplinary and professional system with Chinese medicine as the main body and coordinated development of multiple disciplines.

在师资队伍建设方面，学校拥有一支结构合理、素质优良的师资队伍，其中中国工程院院士3人，国家“万人计划”领军人才、岐黄学者等国家级人才70余人。学校注重临床教学，建有直属附属医院4所，非直属附属医院30所，为学生提供了优质的实践教学平台。

In terms of faculty development, the university has a well-structured and high-quality faculty, including 3 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and more than 70 national-level talents such as leading talents of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program" and Qihuang scholars. The university attaches importance to clinical teaching, with 4 directly affiliated hospitals and 30 non-directly affiliated hospitals, providing students with a high-quality practical teaching platform.

学校坚持立德树人根本任务，培养了大批中医药人才，毕业生遍布海内外，为中医药事业发展作出了重要贡献。同时，学校积极开展国际交流与合作，与世界上40多个国家和地区的高等院校、科研机构建立了合作关系，推动中医药走向世界。
