河源职业技术学院是一所由河源市人民政府举办的全日制普通高等学校，是广东省示范性高职院校、广东省域高水平职业院校建设单位、教育部现代学徒制试点校。学校前身为1930年创立的广东老隆师范学校，2001年升格为高职院校，2004年迁至河源市区办学，现有全日制高职在校生约1.4万人，教职工680余人。

Heyuan Polytechnic is a full-time public higher education institution sponsored by the Heyuan Municipal People's Government. It is a Demonstrative Higher Vocational College in Guangdong Province, a construction unit for province-level high-level vocational colleges, and a pilot school for the modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education. Formerly known as Guangdong Laolong Normal School founded in 1930, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2001 and moved to Heyuan urban area in 2004. Currently, it has approximately 14,000 full-time vocational college students and over 680 faculty members.

学校位于广东省河源市江东新区，占地面积55.90万平方米，建筑面积33.50万平方米，教学仪器设备总值1.74亿元，图书馆纸质藏书115万余册。设有8个二级学院，开设电子信息、机械制造、现代服务等六大类49个专业，双师型教师占比达85%，形成了以工为主、工管文艺融合发展的专业布局。

The college is located in Jiangdong New District, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, covering an area of 559,000 square meters with a building area of 335,000 square meters. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 174 million yuan, and the library has over 1.15 million paper books. It has 8 secondary colleges offering 49 majors in six categories including electronic information, mechanical manufacturing, and modern services. "Double-qualified" teachers account for 85%, forming a discipline layout dominated by engineering and integrated development of engineering, management, liberal arts, and art.

作为国家职业院校数字校园建设实验校和广东省深化教育评价改革试点校，学校紧密对接河源1+3产业集群发展需求，构建了"党建+非遗+产业"三位一体育人模式，培养了大批高素质技术技能人才，先后荣获广东省文明校园、国家节约型公共机构示范单位等称号。

As a national experimental school for digital campus construction of vocational colleges and a pilot school for deepening education evaluation reform in Guangdong, the college closely aligns with the development needs of Heyuan's 1+3 industrial clusters.
