汉中职业技术学院是2004年9月经陕西省人民政府批准设立、教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等职业院校，由汉中市人民政府举办，传承了汉中农业学校（1911年建校）、汉中师范学校（1927年建校）等5所院校的办学传统。学校是教育部首批信息化建设试点单位、全国国防教育特色学校、陕西省示范性高等职业学校，2022年入选陕西省“双高计划”高水平专业群建设单位。

Hanzhong Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government in September 2004 and registered with the Ministry of Education. Sponsored by the Hanzhong Municipal People's Government, it inherits the educational traditions of five institutions including Hanzhong Agricultural School (founded in 1911) and Hanzhong Normal School (founded in 1927). The college is among the first pilot units for informatization construction by the Ministry of Education, a national defense education characteristic school, a model higher vocational school in Shaanxi Province, and was selected as a construction unit for the "Double High Plan" high-level professional group in Shaanxi Province in 2022.

学院位于国家级历史文化名城汉中市，占地面积730余亩，建筑面积30.6万平方米，固定资产总值12亿元，教学仪器设备总值1.6亿元，各类藏书165万册。设有13个教学单位，开设医学、教育、农林、机电等12个专业大类39个高职专业，其中国家级、省级重点专业及“双高计划”专业群10余个。现有全日制在校学生1.6万余人，教职工568人，其中“双师型”教师331人，省级教学名师、优秀教师等15人。

Located in Hanzhong, a national historical and cultural city, the college covers an area of over 730 mu (about 486,667 square meters) with a building area of 306,000 square meters. Its total fixed assets are 1.2 billion yuan, teaching equipment is valued at 160 million yuan, and it has a collection of 1.65 million books. The college has 13 teaching units offering 39 higher vocational programs across 12 disciplines including medicine, education, agriculture-forestry, and mechanical-electrical engineering. It boasts over 10 national and provincial key majors and "Double High Plan" professional groups. Currently, it has more than 16,000 full-time students and 568 faculty members, including 331 "double-qualified" teachers and 15 provincial-level teaching masters and outstanding teachers.

学校建有中央财政支持实训基地2个、省级示范性实训基地4个，校外实习基地240余个，1所直属二级甲等附属医院和1所非直属三级综合附属医院。近年来获省级教学成果奖5项，学生在国家级职业技能大赛中获奖13项，毕业生就业率连续保持在94%以上，为区域经济社会发展培养了大批高素质技术技能人才。

The college has 2 training bases supported by the central finance, 4 provincial demonstration training bases, over 240 off-campus internship bases, 1 directly affiliated Grade-II Class-A hospital, and 1 non-directly affiliated Grade-III general hospital. In recent years, it has won 5 provincial teaching achievement awards and 13 national vocational skills competition awards for students. The employment rate of graduates has remained above 94% for consecutive years, cultivating a large number of high-quality technical talents for regional economic and social development.
