罗定职业技术学院是经国家教育部备案、广东省人民政府批准、由云浮市人民政府举办的公办全日制普通高等学校，其前身是创建于1928年的广东罗定师范学校，2001年5月升格为专科层次的综合院校。学校位于广东省首批历史文化名城——罗定市城区，校园环境优雅，文化底蕴深厚，是广东省重点建设发展的高职院校之一。

Luoding Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and sponsored by the People's Government of Yunfu City, with record filed by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Its predecessor is Guangdong Luoding Normal School founded in 1928, which was upgraded to a comprehensive college at the junior college level in May 2001. The college is located in the urban area of Luoding City, one of the first batch of historical and cultural cities in Guangdong Province, with an elegant campus environment and profound cultural heritage, and is one of the key vocational colleges under construction and development in Guangdong Province.

学校下设马克思主义学院、社区教育学院、机电工程系、信息工程系、经济管理系、教育系、外语系、艺术体育系8个教学单位，开设装备制造、电子与信息、教育与体育、财经商贸、能源动力与材料、食品药品与粮食、交通运输、旅游共八大职业门类40个专业。拥有中央财政支持服务产业专业2个、教育部认定的生产性实训中心3个、省级重点专业2个，建设有数控中心、模具实训中心、汽车实训中心等先进实训基地，设立了国家职业技能鉴定所，是广东省社会科学推广示范基地、广东省中小企业培训示范基地。

The college has 8 teaching units, including the School of Marxism, the School of Community Education, the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Information Engineering, the Department of Economic Management, the Department of Education, the Department of Foreign Languages, and the Department of Art and Physical Education. It offers 40 majors covering 8 vocational categories, namely equipment manufacturing, electronics and information, education and sports, finance and commerce, energy and power & materials, food, medicine and grain, transportation, and tourism. It has 2 majors supported by the central finance for serving industries, 3 productive training centers recognized by the Ministry of Education, and 2 provincial key majors. Advanced training bases such as CNC center, mold training center, and automobile training center have been built. It has set up a national vocational skill appraisal institute and is a demonstration base for social science promotion in Guangdong Province and a training demonstration base for small and medium-sized enterprises in Guangdong Province.
