神木职业技术学院是由陕西省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的一所全日制公办普通高等学校，行政隶属榆林市政府管理，教学业务受省教育厅管理和指导，前身为榆林职业技术学院神木校区，于2010年开始招生办学，2015年顺利通过了教育部人才培养工作评估和陕西省委高校巡视诊断，2018年实现独立办学。学校先后被授予省级文明校园、全国节约型公共示范单位、省级卫生先进单位、省高校共青团工作优秀单位、陕西省中华优秀传统文化传承基地、陕西省非物质文化遗产传承实践教育基地等荣誉称号。

Shenmu Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Shaanxi Province and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is administratively under the management of the Yulin Municipal Government, with its teaching operations managed and guided by the Provincial Department of Education. Its predecessor was the Shenmu Campus of Yulin Vocational and Technical College, which began enrolling students in 2010. In 2015, it successfully passed the talent training evaluation by the Ministry of Education and the inspection and diagnosis by the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee for colleges and universities. In 2018, it achieved independent operation. The college has been awarded honorary titles such as Provincial Civilized Campus, National Model Unit for Resource Conservation in Public Institutions, Provincial Advanced Unit for Health, Excellent Unit for Communist Youth League Work in Provincial Colleges and Universities, Shaanxi Provincial Heritage Base for Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture, and Shaanxi Provincial Practice and Education Base for Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance.

学校位于神木市滨河新区，交通便利，规划占地1028亩，规划建筑面积32万平方米，已建成并投用建筑面积约26万平方米。现有在校学生5642人，教职工435人。学校目前面向陕西、甘肃、青海、西藏、云南、贵州、四川、山西、河北、山东10个省份招生。设有四系一部，开设27个专业：煤矿智能开采技术、应用化工技术、机电一体化技术、热电动力工程技术、智能控制技术、矿山机电智能装备、安全技术与管理、工业自动化仪表技术、煤化工技术、发电运行技术、建筑工程技术、环境监测技术、测绘工程技术、汽车检测与维修技术、新能源汽车技术、婴幼儿托育服务与管理、护理、康复治疗技术、药学、数字媒体技术、跨境电子商务、大数据与会计、信息安全技术应用、工业互联网应用、计算机应用技术、学前教育、社会工作，已经形成以能源化工类特色专业为主，教育、医护、托育、新能源技术专业为辅，文理科兼招，三年制和五年制并行的专业体系。

The college is located in the Binhe New District of Shenmu City, with convenient transportation. It covers a planned area of 1028 mu (approximately 68.53 hectares) and a planned construction area of 320,000 square meters, of which about 260,000 square meters have been completed and put into use. Currently, there are 5,642 students and 435 faculty members. The college enrolls students from 10 provinces: Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Tibet, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Shanxi, Hebei, and Shandong. It consists of four departments and one teaching section, offering 27 majors, including Intelligent Coal Mining Technology, Applied Chemical Technology, Mechatronics Technology, Thermal Power Engineering Technology, Intelligent Control Technology, Intelligent Mining Electromechanical Equipment, Safety Technology and Management, Industrial Automation Instrumentation Technology, Coal Chemical Technology, Power Generation Operation Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Environmental Monitoring Technology, Surveying and Mapping Engineering Technology, Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Technology, New Energy Vehicle Technology, Infant Care Service and Management, Nursing, Rehabilitation Therapy Technology, Pharmacy, Digital Media Technology, Cross-border E-commerce, Big Data and Accounting, Information Security Technology Application, Industrial Internet Application, Computer Application Technology, Preschool Education, and Social Work. It has formed a professional system featuring energy and chemical engineering as the mainstay, supplemented by education, medical care, childcare, and new energy technology majors, enrolling both arts and science students, and offering both three-year and five-year programs.

在教育教学方面坚持对接实践、双核培养，以服务学生全面发展和经济社会发展为办学理念，充分利用国家能源化工基地优势大力开展校企深度合作，为神木及晋陕蒙周边企事业单位培养了大批专业技术骨干和生产一线管理人员，为区域经济转型发展和供给侧结构性改革提供强有力的人才支撑；在校企合作方面坚持优势互补、产教融合，已经与上海众联能创新能源科技有限公司、联邦制药(内蒙古)有限公司、神华神东电力公司、陕煤集团神南产业公司、陕煤化北元集团、恒源集团等100余家知名国企和民企建立了校企合作关系；在国际合作方面坚持面向世界、开放办学，已与德国诺伊斯经济技术信息学院、克劳斯塔尔经济技术学院、波罗的海大学、菲律宾莱西姆大学、西安交通大学、中国矿业大学等国内外知名院校保持互派教师、互派交换生等多种方式的合作交流。

Making full use of the advantages of the national energy and chemical industry base, it vigorously carries out in-depth school-enterprise cooperation, cultivating a large number of professional and technical backbones and front-line production managers for enterprises and institutions in Shenmu and the surrounding areas of Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Inner Mongolia, providing strong talent support for regional economic transformation and supply-side structural reform. In terms of school-enterprise cooperation, it adheres to complementary advantages and integration of industry and education, and has established school-enterprise cooperation relationships with more than 100 well-known state-owned and private enterprises, such as Shanghai Zhonglianneng Innovation Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Federal Pharmaceutical (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd., Shenhua Shendong Power Company, Shaanxi Coal Group Shennan Industry Company, Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Beiyuan Group, and Hengyuan Group. In terms of international cooperation, it adheres to facing the world and opening up schools, and has maintained cooperative exchanges with well-known domestic and foreign institutions such as the Nuremberg Institute of Economic and Technical Information in Germany, the Clausthal Institute of Economic and Technology, the Baltic University, De La Salle University in the Philippines, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and China University of Mining and Technology through various means such as mutual teacher exchanges and student exchanges.

In terms of enrollment and employment, the college adheres to targeted efforts and precise policies. Relying on the advantages of the concentration of industrial enterprises at the municipal, provincial, and national levels in Shenmu City and its surrounding areas, it has established order-based classes, co-built city-level industry-education consortia, and built industrial colleges. In the past three years, the employment rate of graduates has been stable at over 97%, the professional counterpart rate for majors such as chemical engineering, coal, and childcare has reached 90%, and 30% of graduates have been promoted to technical management positions, forming a talent training characteristic of being able to "go down, stay, and be useful". The college adheres to the school-running orientation of being based in Yulin, serving Shenmu, facing Shaanxi, and radiating the surrounding areas.
