陕西能源职业技术学院是一所由陕西省人民政府举办的全日制普通高等职业院校，是中国特色高水平专业群建设单位、陕西省省级双高计划高水平高职学校建设单位、陕西省省级示范性高职院校，其前身创建于1953年。2001年，经陕西省人民政府批准，由原国家级重点中专陕西煤炭工业学校、省部级重点中专西安煤炭卫生学校和陕西煤炭职工大学合并组建陕西能源职业技术学院，隶属于陕西省煤炭生产安全监督管理局，2011年划转陕西省教育厅管理。

Shaanxi Energy Institute is a full-time public higher vocational college sponsored by the People's Government of Shaanxi Province. It is a construction unit of China's characteristic high-level professional groups, a high-level vocational school construction unit of Shaanxi Provincial "Double High Plan", and a provincial demonstration higher vocational college in Shaanxi Province. Its predecessor was founded in 1953. In 2001, with the approval of the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, it was formed by the merger of the former national key secondary school Shaanxi Coal Industry School, the provincial key secondary school Xi'an Coal Health School and Shaanxi Coal Staff University. It was affiliated to the Shaanxi Provincial Coal Production Safety Supervision and Administration Bureau and was transferred to the management of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education in 2011.

学校本部位于咸阳市文林路29号，辖设临潼校区和西安培训中心，设有能源化工学院、智能机电学院等12个二级院部，现有全日制在校生16000余人，开设专业50个（包括1个电气自动化本科专业）。其中国家特色高水平专业群1个、国家骨干专业4个、国家级健康服务类示范专业1个、国家现代学徒制试点专业2个，中央财政支持的高等职业学校提升专业服务产业发展能力项目建设专业1个。

The school headquarters is located at No. 29 Wenlin Road, Xianyang City, with Lintong Campus and Xi'an Training Center. It has 12 secondary colleges and departments including the College of Energy and Chemical Engineering and the College of Intelligent Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. There are more than 16,000 full-time students and 50 majors (including 1 undergraduate major in electrical automation). Among them, there is 1 national characteristic high-level professional group, 4 national backbone majors, 1 national demonstration major in health services, 2 national modern apprenticeship pilot majors, and 1 major supported by the central finance for higher vocational schools to improve the ability of majors to serve industrial development.

学校师资力量雄厚，现有全国模范教师1人，全国优秀教师1人，全国先进教育工作者2人，国家级教师教学创新团队1个，省级教学名师10人。教学实验实训基地覆盖全专业，现有中央财政支持的国家级校内实训基地3个、煤矿应用技术协同创新中心1个、口腔医学技术国家级生产性实训基地1个，校外建立了450个校企联合共建校外实训基地。近三年各类技能大赛中共获得527项，其中国家级奖项共50项，一等奖5项。

The school has a strong faculty, including 1 national model teacher, 1 national excellent teacher, 2 national advanced educators, 1 national teacher teaching innovation team, and 10 provincial teaching masters. The teaching experiment and training bases cover all majors, with 3 national on-campus training bases supported by the central finance, 1 coal mine application technology collaborative innovation center, 1 national productive training base for stomatology technology, and 450 off-campus training bases jointly built by schools and enterprises. In the past three years, a total of 527 awards have been won in various skill competitions, including 50 national awards and 5 first prizes.
