陕西铁路工程职业技术学院(简称陕铁院)创办于1973年,前身是铁道部渭南铁路工程学校,位于陕西省渭南市。2002年划归陕西省人民政府,2003年改制升格为高职学院。学校因铁路而建、倚铁路而长,坚持铁路特色办学,累计培养高素质技术技能人才8万余名,是我国铁路和城轨工程建设与管理人才培养的重要基地。
Shaanxi Railway Institute (referred to as Shan Tie Yuan) was founded in 1973. Its predecessor was the Weinan Railway Engineering School of the Ministry of Railways, located in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. In 2002, it was transferred to the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, and in 2003, it was restructured and upgraded to a higher vocational college. Founded and developed because of railways, the school adheres to railway-characteristic education and has cultivated more than 80,000 high-quality technical and skilled talents, serving as an important base for training talents in railway and urban rail engineering construction and management in China.
学校现为中国特色高水平高职学校立项建设单位、国家优质高职学校、教育部首批1+X证书制度试点单位、首批国家级职业教育教师教学创新团队立项建设单位,拥有临渭、高新两个校区,占地面积1368亩,建筑面积49.2万平方米,固定资产12亿元。专业以铁路工程类为主干,覆盖高铁、城轨、公路、建筑等基础设施建设及管理领域,80%以上毕业生就职于中国铁建、国铁集团等世界500强央企。
The school is now a project construction unit of China's high-level vocational schools with Chinese characteristics, a national high-quality vocational school, one of the first batch of 1+X certificate system pilot units of the Ministry of Education, and one of the first batch of national vocational education teacher teaching innovation team project construction units. It has two campuses, Linwei and Gaoxin, covering an area of 1368 mu, with a building area of 492,000 square meters and fixed assets of 1.2 billion yuan. With railway engineering majors as the mainstay, its majors cover the fields of infrastructure construction and management such as high-speed rail, urban rail, highways, and architecture. More than 80% of its graduates work in Fortune Global 500 central enterprises such as China Railway Construction and China State Railway Group.
