山西水利职业技术学院始建于1956年，2002年4月由原山西省水利学校和山西省水利职工大学合并组建，是一所全日制高等职业技术学院。学院在太原和运城两地办学，设三个校区，主校区位于运城市盐湖区安邑水库湖心岛的魏豹城遗址，太原小店校区位于太原市小店区汾东教育城，太原胜利桥校区位于太原市胜利桥西。学院以高职教育为主，兼办技工教育、成人教育和行业培训，面向全国10个省（市）招生，设有水利工程系、建筑工程系等九系三部，开设涵盖水利工程、土木工程、环境工程等领域的50个专业，其中国家级、省级特色专业多个，拥有现代化的教学设施和实训基地，截至2023年3月，全日制在校生13716人，建校以来已向社会输送各类高素质技术技能型人才60000余人。

Shanxi Conservancy Technical College was founded in 1956 and was established by merging the former Shanxi Water Conservancy School and Shanxi Water Conservancy Workers' University in April 2002. It is a full-time higher vocational and technical college. The college has three campuses in Taiyuan and Yuncheng. The main campus is located at the ruins of Weibao City on the central island of Anyi Reservoir in Yanhu District, Yuncheng City. The Taiyuan Xiaodian Campus is situated in Fendong Education City, Xiaodian District, Taiyuan City, and the Taiyuan Shengliqiao Campus is located west of Shengli Bridge in Taiyuan City. The college focuses on higher vocational education, supplemented by technical education, adult education, and industry training, enrolling students from 10 provinces (cities) across the country. It has nine departments and three divisions, including the Department of Water Conservancy Engineering and the Department of Architectural Engineering, offering 50 majors covering fields such as water conservancy engineering, civil engineering, and environmental engineering. Among them, there are multiple national and provincial-level characteristic majors. The college boasts modern teaching facilities and training bases. As of March 2023, it has 13,716 full-time students and has trained over 60,000 high-quality technical and skilled talents for society since its establishment.
