陕西职业技术学院是一所全日制公办普通高等学校。前身是1995年成立的陕西省职业教育中心，为陕西省“九五”重点建设项目。2001年9月经省政府批准，在陕西省职业教育中心基础上成立陕西职业技术学院。2007年在教育部高职高专院校人才培养工作水平评估中获优秀等级，2015年被教育部、财政部确定为国家示范性骨干高职院校。

Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public ordinary higher education institution. Its predecessor was the Shaanxi Vocational Education Center established in 1995, a key construction project of Shaanxi Province during the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" period. In September 2001, with the approval of the provincial government, Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College was established on the basis of the Shaanxi Vocational Education Center. In 2007, it was awarded the excellent grade in the talent training level evaluation of higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education, and in 2015, it was identified as a national demonstration backbone higher vocational college by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance.

学院位于古城西安，有长安、白鹿原两个校区，校园占地977余亩，现有在校生11000余名，教职工678名。设有9个二级院系和3个教学科研单位，开设50个专业，其中2个中央财政支持重点建设专业，4个国家骨干重点建设专业，10个陕西省重点专业。学院重视校企合作，牵头组建陕西城镇建设职教集团和白鹿原大学城高校联盟，形成“职教集团化办学、园区联盟式发展”格局，近五年毕业生首次就业率保持在96%以上。

The college is located in the ancient city of Xi'an, with two campuses in Chang'an and Bailuyuan, covering an area of more than 977 acres. It currently has over 11,000 students and 678 faculty members. It has 9 secondary colleges and 3 teaching and research units, offering 50 majors, including 2 key construction majors supported by central finance, 4 national key construction majors, and 10 key majors in Shaanxi Province. The college attaches importance to school-enterprise cooperation, taking the lead in establishing the Shaanxi Urban Construction Vocational Education Group and the Bailuyuan University Town Alliance, forming a pattern of "vocational education group-based school running and park alliance-based development". The initial employment rate of graduates has remained above 96% in the past five years.
