Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) was founded in 1995 as one of Vietnam's premier public higher education institutions, located in Ho Chi Minh City, the country's largest metropolis. As one of Vietnam's largest educational systems with a total area of 643.7 hectares, it comprises 7 member universities (including University of Science, University of Natural Sciences, University of Social Sciences and Humanities), 1 research institute, and multiple affiliated organizations. It offers 134 undergraduate programs, 133 master's programs, and 96 doctoral programs spanning natural sciences, engineering, economics, law, social sciences, and humanities.
