武汉民政职业学院创建于1986年，前身为湖北省民政学校，2004年经湖北省人民政府批准、教育部备案升格为公办全日制普通高等职业院校。学校隶属于湖北省民政厅，地处武汉市洪山区卓刀泉路257号，毗邻武汉·中国光谷，坐拥伏虎山，俯瞰南湖，占地面积21万余平方米，校舍面积10万余平方米，被评为“园林式学校”。

Wuhan Civil Affairs Vocational College was founded in 1986, formerly known as Hubei Civil Affairs School. In 2004, it was approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and registered with the Ministry of Education to be upgraded to a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college. Affiliated to the Civil Affairs Department of Hubei Province, the college is located at No. 257 Zhuodaquan Road, Hongshan District, Wuhan, adjacent to Wuhan·China Optics Valley, sitting at the foot of Fuhu Mountain and overlooking Nanhu Lake. It covers an area of more than 210,000 square meters with a school building area of over 100,000 square meters and has been rated as a "Garden-style School".

学校以“崇德、强能、仁和、笃行”为校训，设有4个二级学院，开办19个专科专业，重点打造民政管理、康复治疗技术、现代殡仪技术与管理等特色专业，其中婚庆策划与服务专业为全国首创。现有教职工近200人，“双师型”教师占比66%，拥有3名楚天技能名师，在校学生5000余人。

With the school motto of "Virtue, Ability, Benevolence and Persistence", the college has 4 secondary colleges and offers 19 specialized majors, focusing on building characteristic majors such as Civil Affairs Management, Rehabilitation Therapy Technology, and Modern Funeral Service Technology and Management, among which the Wedding Planning and Service major is the first of its kind in China. There are nearly 200 faculty members, with "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 66%, 3 Chutian Skilled Teachers, and more than 5,000 students on campus.

学校注重实践教学，建有央财支持的国家级实训基地及百余家校内外实习实训基地，推行多证书制度，学生就业率连续多年保持在90%以上。此外，学校还设立民政福利基金资助家庭经济困难学生，并与澳大利亚悉尼国际管理学院开展专本衔接教育，致力于培养高素质技术技能人才。

The college emphasizes practical teaching, with a national training base supported by the central finance and more than 100 off-campus internship and training bases. It implements a multi-certificate system, and the employment rate of students has remained above 90% for many years. In addition, the college has established a civil affairs welfare fund to support students from families with financial difficulties and carries out junior-college-to-undergraduate linkage education with Sydney International Management College in Australia, committed to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents.
