武汉软件工程职业学院（简称“武软”）是武汉市人民政府主办、教育部备案的全日制普通高等职业院校，是国家示范（骨干）高职院校、全国示范性软件职业技术学院、湖北省双高校立项建设单位（A档）。学校与武汉市广播电视大学实行“两块牌子、一套班子”管理，承担全日制高等职业教育与电大远程教育双重任务，形成了类型多样、层次丰富的办学格局。

Wuhan Vocational College of Software and Engineering (referred to as "Wuhan Ruanjian") is a full-time public higher vocational college sponsored by the Wuhan Municipal People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is a national demonstration (backbone) higher vocational college, a national示范性 software vocational and technical college, and a Hubei Provincial Double-High-Level College Project Construction Unit (Grade A). The college and Wuhan Radio and Television University implement the "two brands, one team" management system, undertaking both full-time higher vocational education and TVU distance education, forming a diverse and multi-level school-running pattern.

截至2024年4月，学校占地1800余亩，建筑面积58.6万平方米，固定资产总值18.7亿元；设有13个学院、46个高职专业，全日制在校生17285人，教职工1271人，其中双师型教师占比80%。学校紧贴湖北“51020”和武汉“965”现代产业体系，构建10个专业群，深化产教融合，牵头成立武汉·中国光谷产教联合体，与烽火、华为等企业共建6个产业学院，毕业生去向落实率连续多年超98%，平均留汉率60%以上，是湖北省职业教育先进单位和省级文明校园。

As of April 2024, the college covers an area of over 1,800 mu, with a building area of 586,000 square meters and a total fixed asset value of 1.87 billion yuan. It has 13 schools and 46 higher vocational majors, with 17,285 full-time students and 1,271 faculty members, among whom 80% are "double-qualified" teachers. Closely aligned with Hubei's "51020" and Wuhan's "965" modern industrial systems, the college has established 10 professional groups and deepened industry-education integration. It leads the Wuhan·China Optics Valley Industry-Education Consortium and has jointly built 6 industrial colleges with enterprises such as FiberHome and Huawei. The employment rate of graduates has exceeded 98% for many years, with an average retention rate in Wuhan of over 60%. It is an Advanced Unit of Vocational Education in Hubei Province and a Provincial Civilized Campus.
