渭南职业技术学院是陕西省人民政府批准、教育部备案的公办全日制高等职业院校，办学历史可追溯至1905年的同州实业中学堂，2004年由原陕西省中医学校、大荔师范学校等4所院校合并组建。学院占地880亩，建筑面积36.9万平方米，馆藏图书165.79万册，现有全日制在校生13000余人，开设医药卫生、教育与体育、农林牧渔等14个大类45个专业，拥有中央财政支持实训基地4个、国家级校企共建生产性实训基地2个，是全国文明单位、国家优质专科高职院校建设单位及教育部现代学徒制试点单位。

Weinan Vocational & Technical College is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Its educational history dates back to the Tongzhou Industrial Middle School founded in 1905. In 2004, it was established by merging four institutions including the former Shaanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Dali Normal School. Covering an area of 880 mu with a building area of 369,000 square meters, the college houses a collection of 1.6579 million books and has over 13,000 full-time students. It offers 45 majors across 14 categories such as Medicine & Health, Education & Sports, and Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry & Fishery. The college features 4 training bases supported by central finance and 2 national-level school-enterprise joint productive training bases, and is recognized as a National Civilized Unit, a National High-Quality Vocational College Construction Unit, and a pilot unit for the Modern Apprenticeship System of the Ministry of Education.

学院历经百年发展，累计培养10万余名技术技能人才，涌现出第十二届全国政协副主席韩启德、著名政治家寇遐等杰出校友。其中药学专业始建于1981年，为省级重点专业；研究员刘寿山编撰的《中药研究文献摘要》被誉为"近代中药研究的里程碑"，荣获1978年全国科学大会奖。学院现有教职工中高级职称占比达36%，双师型教师233人，形成了以医药卫生、师范教育为特色，多学科协调发展的办学格局，是渭南市职业教育集团牵头单位及陕西省域"双高"专业群建设院校。

With over a century of development, the college has cultivated more than 100,000 technical and skilled talents, including distinguished alumni such as Han Qide, Vice Chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and renowned statesman Kou Xia. Its Chinese Materia Medica major, established in 1981, is a provincial key major. Researcher Liu Shoushan's "Abstracts of Chinese Materia Medica Research Literature" is hailed as a "milestone in modern Chinese materia medica research" and won the National Science Conference Award in 1978. Among the faculty, 36% hold senior professional titles, and there are 233 dual-qualified teachers. The college has formed a school-running pattern with distinctive features in medicine & health and teacher education, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It serves as the leading unit of the Weinan Vocational Education Group and a Shaanxi provincial "Double High-Level" professional group construction institution.
