西安职业技术学院是经陕西省人民政府批准、教育部备案，由西安市人民政府举办的公办综合类全日制高职院校。学院继承西安市经济贸易学校（1956年）、西安市工业学校（1959年）、西安市财政会计学校（1965年）、西安市农业学校（1965年）等原市属4所学校的办学资源，于2004年正式设立，2006年挂牌成立。主校区地处西安高新技术产业开发区核心区域，周边高新技术企业云集，校企合作优势显著。

Xi'an Vocational and Technical College is a public comprehensive full-time higher vocational college approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, registered with the Ministry of Education, and sponsored by the Xi'an Municipal People's Government. The college inherits the educational resources of four former municipal schools, including Xi'an Economic and Trade School (1956), Xi'an Industrial School (1959), Xi'an Finance and Accounting School (1965), and Xi'an Agricultural School (1965). It was formally established in 2004 and officially inaugurated in 2006. The main campus is located in the core area of Xi'an High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, surrounded by numerous high-tech enterprises, providing significant advantages for school-enterprise cooperation.

学院现设有11个教学单位，教职工500余人，在校生1.15万余人，开设高职专业47个。其中，动漫制作技术为国家级骨干专业，建筑工程技术为中央财政支持建设专业，培育电气自动化技术、电子信息工程技术、现代物流管理等省级一流专业5个。学院建有校内实践基地157个、校外实习实训基地133个，是国家高技能人才培养基地、教育部现代学徒制试点单位及1+X证书制度试点院校，连续多年就业率位居全省同类院校前列。

The college currently has 11 teaching units, over 500 faculty members, and more than 11,500 students, offering 47 higher vocational programs. Among them, Animation Production Technology is a national key specialty, and Construction Engineering Technology is a central finance-supported specialty. It has also developed 5 provincial first-class specialties such as Electrical Automation Technology, Electronic Information Engineering Technology, and Modern Logistics Management. The college has 157 on-campus practice bases and 133 off-campus internship training bases. It is a national high-skilled talent training base, a pilot unit of the Ministry of Education's modern apprenticeship system, and a pilot institution for the 1+X certificate system. Its employment rate has ranked among the top of similar institutions in the province for many consecutive years.
