新疆应用职业技术学院是2012年初经自治区人民政府批准成立、国家教育部备案的一所独立设置的以培养应用型、技能型人才为主的公办全日制普通高等职业院校。学院自1974年6月成立的农七师师范学校起，历经奎屯师范学校、伊犁州奎屯师范学院、伊犁州教师进修学院、伊犁教育学院、伊犁师范学院奎屯校区等变迁，先后五次调整隶属关系、七次更名。2018年7月，学院隶属关系调整至伊犁哈萨克自治州；2020年12月，奎屯市中等职业技术学校并入学院。

Xinjiang Vocational and Technical College of Application is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college independently established in early 2012 with the approval of the People's Government of the Autonomous Region and registered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, focusing on cultivating applied and skilled talents. Since its establishment as the Seventh Agricultural Division Normal School in June 1974, the college has undergone changes such as Kuitun Normal School, Yili Prefecture Kuitun Normal College, Yili Prefecture Teacher Training College, Yili Education College, and Kuitun Campus of Yili Normal University, with five adjustments of affiliation and seven name changes. In July 2018, the affiliation of the college was adjusted to Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture; in December 2020, Kuitun Secondary Vocational and Technical School was merged into the college.

学院现有四个校区，总占地面积978.79亩，校舍建筑面积12万平方米，图书藏量33.12万册，电子图书48万册。教职工551人，专任教师426人，“双师型”及“双师素质”教师占比57.28%。开设高职高专三年制专业38个、五年制专业20个、中职专业8个，形成以应用化工技术、园林技术、机械制造及自动化等3个自治区骨干专业群为核心，物流管理、虚拟现实技术等5个院级优先发展专业群和师范教育、音乐舞蹈等2个特色专业群为支撑的专业布局。现有在校生9446人，近五年毕业生就业率均保持在91%以上，先后培养各类学生6万余名，为区域经济社会发展作出重要贡献。

The college currently has four campuses, with a total area of 978.79 mu, a school building area of 120,000 square meters, 331,200 paper books, and 480,000 e-books. There are 551 faculty members, including 426 full-time teachers, and "double-qualified" teachers account for 57.28%. It offers 38 three-year higher vocational programs, 20 five-year programs, and 8 secondary vocational programs, forming a professional layout with 3 autonomous region key professional groups (applied chemical technology, garden technology, mechanical manufacturing and automation) as the core, 5 college-level priority development professional groups (logistics management, virtual reality technology, etc.), and 2 characteristic professional groups (normal education, music and dance) as support. There are 9,446 students, and the employment rate of graduates has remained above 91% in the past five years. It has cultivated more than 60,000 students of various types, making important contributions to regional economic and social development.

学院是国家第三批现代学徒制试点学校、第二批自治区优质高等职业学校建设计划项目学校，获批2个国家“1+X”证书试点和18个自治区“1+X”证书试点，建有183个校内实习实训室和100余个校外实习实训基地，专业校企合作覆盖率达100%。先后荣获“全国民族教育先进集体”“全国成人高等教育先进学校”等荣誉称号，2021年被纳入区域职业教育高地建设规划，综合办学实力持续提升。

The college is a pilot school of the third batch of modern apprenticeship system in China and a project school of the second batch of autonomous region high-quality higher vocational schools. It has been approved 2 national "1+X" certificate pilots and 18 autonomous region "1+X" certificate pilots, with 183 on-campus training rooms and more than 100 off-campus training bases, achieving 100% coverage of school-enterprise cooperation in majors. It has successively won honorary titles such as "National Advanced Collective in Ethnic Education" and "National Advanced School in Adult Higher Education". In 2021, it was included in the regional vocational education highland construction plan, and its comprehensive school-running strength continues to improve.
