阳江职业技术学院是广东省省域高水平职业院校建设计划学校，成立于2001年5月，是经教育部备案、广东省人民政府批准、阳江市人民政府举办的综合性普通高等学校。学校前身阳江师范学校创建于1916年，传承了百年师范教育优良传统，是关山月等艺术名家的母校，为国家及粤西地区培养了大批优秀人才和基础教育师资中坚力量。

Yangjiang Polytechnic is a school under Guangdong Provincial High-level Vocational College Construction Plan. Founded in May 2001, it is a comprehensive public higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province, registered with the Ministry of Education, and sponsored by the People's Government of Yangjiang City. Its predecessor, Yangjiang Normal School, was established in 1916, inheriting the fine traditions of a century of normal education. It is the alma mater of renowned artists such as Guan Shanyue and has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents and backbone teachers for basic education in western Guangdong and the whole country.

学校以“崇德远志，精艺博才”为校训，目标建设省域双高校，打造以工为主，农、管、艺、文、教、卫协调发展，海洋特色鲜明、智能制造见长的区域高水平职业院校。截至2024年12月，全日制在校生10700多人，教职员工601人，其中高级职称136人、双师型教师312人，设有10系2部，2024年招生专业38个，拥有省级高水平专业群4个、省级品牌专业2个及重点专业2个。

With the school motto "Virtue and Aspiration, Proficiency and Erudition", the college aims to build a provincial double-high vocational college, developing into a regional high-level vocational institution with engineering as the main focus, coordinated development of agriculture, management, art, literature, education and health, distinctive marine characteristics and strengths in intelligent manufacturing. As of December 2024, it has over 10,700 full-time students and 601 faculty members, including 136 with senior professional titles and 312 dual-qualified teachers. The college consists of 10 departments and 2 divisions, offering 38 enrollment majors in 2024, with 4 provincial-level high-level professional groups, 2 provincial brand majors and 2 key majors.

学校坚持内涵发展与“一体两翼”专业布局，重点打造智能制造、海洋与食品等特色专业群，2022年入选省域高水平高职建设计划。近五年获市厅级以上科技奖励10项，建成多个省市级科研平台，有效专利授权195件，学生获省级以上竞赛奖项569项，同时是全国首批水产技术推广人员培训基地等多个基地依托单位，为阳江及粤港澳大湾区发展提供人才智力支撑。

Adhering to connotative development and the "One Body, Two Wings" professional layout, the college focuses on building characteristic professional groups such as intelligent manufacturing, marine and food industries. In 2022, it was selected into the Provincial High-level Vocational College Construction Plan. In the past five years, it has won 10 municipal and above-level scientific and technological awards, established multiple provincial and municipal scientific research platforms, obtained 195 valid patent authorizations, and students have won 569 provincial and above-level competition awards. It also serves as the依托 unit for many bases such as the National First Batch of Aquatic Technology Extension Personnel Training Bases, providing talent and intellectual support for the development of Yangjiang and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
