永州师范高等专科学校是经湖南省人民政府批准、教育部备案的全日制公办普通高等学校，由创办于1958年的原道县师范学校和创办于1979年的原祁阳师范学校合并升格而成。学校全面贯彻党的教育方针，落实立德树人的根本任务，坚守教师教育特色，立足城乡教师培养，为社会培养了六万多名各类人才，其中近五万名教育类人才。

Yongzhou Normal College is a full-time public ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Hunan Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. It was established by merging the former Daoxian Normal School founded in 1958 and the former Qiyang Normal School founded in 1979. The college fully implements the Party's educational policy, fulfills the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, adheres to the characteristics of teacher education, and focuses on training teachers for urban and rural areas. It has cultivated over 60,000 various talents for the society, including nearly 50,000 education-related talents.

学校坐落于国家历史文化名城永州市零陵区，高铁、高速与机场三位一体交通网络便利。校园占地503.7亩，建筑面积17.9万平方米，布局合理、环境优美。教学科研仪器设备总值7800多万元，拥有教学计算机900台，钢琴、电钢琴685台，纸质图书57万册，配备智慧黑板教室224间及各类实训室344间，构建了师范类与非师范类专业协同发展的体系，设有5大学院21个专业。

The college is located in Lingling District of Yongzhou City, a national historical and cultural city, with convenient transportation through a trinity network of high-speed railway, expressway and airport. The campus covers an area of 503.7 mu (about 335,800 square meters) with a building area of 179,000 square meters, featuring a rational layout and beautiful environment. It has teaching and research equipment worth more than 78 million yuan, 900 teaching computers, 685 pianos and electric pianos, 570,000 paper books, 224 classrooms equipped with smart blackboards, and 344 various training rooms. The college has built a coordinated development system of normal and non-normal majors, with 5 colleges and 21 majors.
