安徽体育运动职业技术学院是由安徽省人民政府主办、安徽省体育局主管的安徽省唯一一所全日制体育高等专科院校。学院前身是安徽省体育学校，创办于1954年，历经数次变迁，于2001年合并安徽省体育运动技术学校、安徽省体育科学技术研究所，升格成立安徽体育运动职业技术学院。

Anhui Professional & Technical Institute Of Athletics is the only full-time sports college in Anhui Province sponsored by the Anhui Provincial People's Government and administered by the Anhui Provincial Sports Bureau. Its predecessor was Anhui Sports School, founded in 1954. After several changes, it merged with Anhui Sports Technical School and Anhui Institute of Sports Science and Technology in 2001 and was upgraded to Anhui Professional & Technical Institute Of Athletics.

学院立足体育办学特色，肩负服务为国为省争光、服务美好安徽建设、服务人民健康需求的重大历史责任，确立了“传德技之道，育体育精英”的办学理念，凝练了“求实、创新、夺标、育人”的校训，树立了培育高水平体育后备人才、培养高精尖竞技体育人才、培训高质量社会体育技能人才的人才培养目标。学院现为国家级高水平体育后备人才基地、国家手球奥林匹克后备人才训练基地、国家田径奥林匹克后备人才训练基地等，先后多次被授予全国群众体育先进单位、省直三优文明单位等称号。

Based on the characteristics of sports education, the college shoulders the major historical responsibility of serving the country and the province to win honor, serving the construction of beautiful Anhui, and serving the health needs of the people. It has established the school-running philosophy of "imparting the way of morality and skills, cultivating sports elites", condensed the school motto of "seeking truth, innovation, winning and educating people", and set the talent training goal of cultivating high-level sports reserve talents, high-precision competitive sports talents, and high-quality social sports skills talents. The college is now a national high-level sports reserve talent base, a national handball Olympic reserve talent training base, a national track and field Olympic reserve talent training base, etc., and has been awarded the title of National Advanced Unit for Mass Sports, Advanced Civilized Unit of Provincial Direct Departments for many times.

学院位于合肥市包河区花园大道595号，占地700余亩，环境优美，典雅气派，位居巢湖之滨，紧邻安徽省行政中心，地处滨湖卓越城核心板块。学院设有运动训练、健身指导与管理、康复治疗技术、体育教育等13个专业，其中运动训练专业为中央财政支持产业发展能力项目，运动训练、康复治疗技术和表演艺术专业为省级特色专业，拥有省级精品课程2门、省级教学团队4个。

The college is located at No. 595 Huayuan Avenue, Baohe District, Hefei City, covering an area of more than 700 mu. It has a beautiful environment and elegant style. It is located on the bank of Chaohu Lake, close to the administrative center of Anhui Province, and in the core area of Binhu Excellence City. The college has 13 majors including sports training, fitness guidance and management, rehabilitation therapy technology, physical education, etc. Among them, sports training is a central financial support industry development capacity project, sports training, rehabilitation therapy technology and performing arts are provincial characteristic majors, with 2 provincial excellent courses and 4 provincial teaching teams.
