Anhui University of Technology is a multidisciplinary university with engineering as its main focus, coordinated development of seven disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, and art, and distinct industrial characteristics. It is a key construction university in Anhui Province, a supported university under the "Midwest University Basic Capacity Construction Project" of the state, and an implementation university of the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education. The university is located in Ma'anshan City, Anhui Province, an important node city in the Yangtze River Delta, adjacent to Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. It has beautiful landscapes and a long cultural heritage, making it an ideal place for studying and academic research.

学校始建于1958年，历经马鞍山钢铁工业学校、安徽冶金工业学院、华东冶金学院等发展阶段，2000年更名为安徽工业大学。学校坚持立德树人根本任务，以培养高素质应用型人才为目标，形成了“厚德博学、追求卓越”的校训和“团结、奋进、严谨、求实”的校风。近年来，学校在人才培养、科学研究、社会服务、文化传承创新等方面取得了显著成就，为国家和地方经济社会发展输送了大批优秀人才。

The university was founded in 1958 and has gone through development stages such as Ma'anshan Iron and Steel Industry School, Anhui Institute of Metallurgical Industry, and East China Institute of Metallurgy. It was renamed Anhui University of Technology in 2000. Adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and aiming at cultivating high-quality applied talents, the university has formed the school motto of "Houde Boxue, Pursuing Excellence" and the school spirit of "Unity, Endeavor, Rigor, and Practicality".
