安徽新华学院是拥有学士学位授予权的省属普通本科高校，位于合肥综合性国家科学中心的核心区，校园紧邻大蜀山。学校于2000年创办，2005年经教育部批准升格为普通本科高校，2013年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，2015年获批安徽省地方应用型高水平大学建设单位，2019年获批安徽省硕士学位授予立项建设单位。2024年获批安徽省重点立项建设硕士学位授予单位、安徽省特色高校建设（培育）单位、特色专业（群）建设（培育）单位。2025年获批设立省级博士后科研工作站。

Anhui Xinhua University is a provincial ordinary undergraduate university with the right to grant bachelor's degrees, located in the core area of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, and the campus is adjacent to Dashu Mountain. Founded in 2000, the university was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate university with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2005, passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2013, was approved as a construction unit of Anhui Provincial Local Application-oriented High-level University in 2015, and was approved as a project construction unit for granting master's degrees in Anhui Province in 2019. In 2024, it was approved as a key project construction unit for granting master's degrees in Anhui Province, a construction (cultivation) unit for characteristic universities in Anhui Province, and a construction (cultivation) unit for characteristic majors (groups). In 2025, it was approved to set up a provincial post-doctoral research workstation.

学校现有64个本科专业，设有12个二级学院和2个教学（院）部，各类在校生2.5万余人，教职工1800余人。学校占地面积1500余亩，建筑面积52.30万平方米。教学科研仪器设备总值17524万元，图书资源总量300余万册。学校坚持教育为民、育人为本、服务社会办学宗旨，坚持地方性、应用型、开放式办学定位，遵循需求导向、产教融合、错位争先、特色发展办学思路，实施专家治校、人才兴校、质量立校、特色强校治校方略，不断深化教育教学改革，形成了以工、管为主，经、教、文、医（药）、艺等多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。

The university currently has 64 undergraduate majors, 12 secondary colleges and 2 teaching (colleges) departments, with more than 25,000 students of various types and more than 1,800 faculty members. The university covers an area of more than 1,500 mu, with a building area of 523,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 175.24 million yuan, and the total amount of book resources is more than 3 million volumes. Adhering to the school-running purpose of "education for the people, education as the foundation, and serving the society", the university adheres to the local, application-oriented and open school-running orientation, follows the school-running ideas of demand-oriented, industry-education integration, dislocation for excellence and characteristic development, implements the school-running strategy of expert governance, talent strengthening, quality establishment and characteristic strengthening, and constantly deepens education and teaching reform, forming a discipline and professional system with engineering and management as the main subjects, and coordinated development of economics, education, literature, medicine (pharmacy), art and other disciplines.

学校拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点4个，国家级一流本科课程5门，国家级大学生校外实践教学基地1个。现有安徽省高校重点实验室和人文社科重点研究基地各1个，省级卓越工程师教育培养计划和人才培养模式创新实验区30个，省级示范实验实训中心和实践教学基地25个，获省级教学成果特等奖1项，一等奖3项，二等奖18项。近三年先后与300多家知名企业、10余家科研院所建立了稳定的合作关系，245个实践教学基地，立项建设3个省级现代产业学院、1个未来技术学院、1个特色示范软件学院。

The university has 4 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 5 national first-class undergraduate courses, and 1 national off-campus practical teaching base for college students. At present, there is 1 key laboratory of Anhui colleges and universities and 1 key research base of humanities and social sciences, 30 provincial excellent engineer education and training programs and talent training model innovation experimental zones, 25 provincial demonstration experimental training centers and practical teaching bases, and has won 1 provincial teaching achievement special prize, 3 first prizes and 18 second prizes. In the past three years, it has established stable cooperative relations with more than 300 well-known enterprises and more than 10 scientific research institutes, with 245 practical teaching bases, and has set up 3 provincial modern industrial colleges, 1 future technology college and 1 characteristic demonstration software college.
