巴库国立大学（Baku State University）是阿塞拜疆最古老、规模最大的公立高等学府，1919年由阿塞拜疆民主共和国议会创立，位于首都巴库。作为该国高等教育的旗舰机构，学校最初设有历史与语言学、物理与数学、法律及医学四个学院，首批招生1094人，首任校长为外科教授V.I. Razumovsky。

Baku State University (BSU), established in 1919 by the Parliament of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, is the oldest and largest public university in Azerbaijan, located in the capital city of Baku. As the flagship institution of higher education in the country, it initially comprised four faculties: History and Philology, Physics and Mathematics, Law, and Medicine, with an initial enrollment of 1,094 students. The first rector was Professor V.I. Razumovsky, a former surgery professor from Kazan University.

学校历经多次重组与发展，目前拥有18个学院，覆盖人文社科、自然科学、法律、医学等300多个专业，其中经济学、地理学、历史学、语言学及医学等学科在阿塞拜疆享有盛誉。知名校友包括诺贝尔物理学奖得主Lev Landau（1922-1924年就读）及阿塞拜疆前总统Heydar Aliyev等。

After several reorganizations and developments, BSU now houses 18 faculties offering over 300 programs across humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, law, medicine, and other fields. Disciplines such as economics, geography, history, linguistics, and medicine hold particular prestige in Azerbaijan. Notable alumni include Nobel Prize-winning physicist Lev Landau (who studied here from 1922 to 1924) and former Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev.

作为阿塞拜疆学术研究的核心力量，学校注重教育质量与国际合作，拥有现代化教学设施及阿塞拜疆顶尖的医学院，其毕业生在国内外就业市场具有较强竞争力。QS世界大学排名中，该校通常位列951-1000区间，相当于中国北京交通大学、北京邮电大学等高校水平。

As a cornerstone of academic research in Azerbaijan, BSU emphasizes educational quality and international collaboration, boasting modern teaching facilities and the country's top medical school.
