北京石油化工学院是一所北京市属普通高等学校，创建于1978年，前身是北京石油化工专科学校和北京化工学院第二分院。学校以工为主，工、理、管、经、文、法等多学科协调发展，立足北京，面向全国，服务石油石化行业和首都经济社会发展，培养应用型高级专门人才。

Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology is a municipal ordinary institution of higher learning in Beijing. Founded in 1978, its predecessors were Beijing Petrochemical College and the Second Branch of Beijing University of Chemical Technology. With engineering as the main focus, the university develops coordinately in multiple disciplines such as engineering, science, management, economics, literature, and law. It is based in Beijing, faces the whole country, serves the petroleum and petrochemical industry and the economic and social development of the capital, and cultivates applied senior professionals.

学校现有清源、康庄、燕山三个校区，占地面积约800亩。设有14个教学院（部），开设39个本科专业，拥有一级学科硕士学位授权点7个、硕士专业学位授权类别11个。学校坚持立德树人根本任务，注重产教融合、科教融汇，与众多石油石化企业及地方单位建立了紧密的合作关系，为学生实践能力和创新精神培养提供了良好条件。

The university currently has three campuses: Qingyuan, Kangzhuang, and Yanshan, covering an area of approximately 800 mu. It has 14 teaching colleges (departments), offering 39 undergraduate majors, 7 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 11 master's professional degree authorization categories. Adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, the university focuses on the integration of industry and education, and the integration of science and education. It has established close cooperative relations with many petroleum and petrochemical enterprises and local units, providing good conditions for the cultivation of students' practical ability and innovative spirit.
