北京青年政治学院是北京市属普通高等学校，其前身为1956年成立的北京市团校。1986年，在北京市团校基础上成立北京青年政治学院，邓小平同志亲自为学院题写院名，学院开始正式举办全日制高等专科教育。2022年，学院成为由北京市教委管理的全日制普通高等院校。

Beijing Youth Politics College is a public higher education institution in Beijing. Its predecessor was the Beijing Municipal Communist Youth League School founded in 1956. In 1986, Beijing Youth Politics College was established on the basis of the Beijing Municipal Communist Youth League School, with the school name inscribed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping. The college then formally launched full-time junior college education. In 2022, it became a full-time ordinary institution of higher education directly under the management of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission.

学院以“政治、青年、人文”为办学特色，坚持“以政治方向引领办学方向，以青年需求服务青年发展，以人文底蕴涵养学生素养”的办学理念，聚焦首都“四个中心”功能建设，打造政务与社会服务、文化与民生服务等专业方向，形成了“一老一小一青年，一文一技国际化”的优势专业群。现有全日制在校生近3000人，成人教育学生800余人，下设六个二级学院及多个研究所，拥有1个全国职业院校示范专业、1个国家级骨干专业，近十年毕业生就业率平均达98%以上。

With "politics, youth, and humanities" as its educational characteristics, the college adheres to the philosophy of "guiding the direction of running the school with political orientation, serving youth development based on youth needs, and cultivating students' literacy with humanistic heritage". Focusing on the construction of Beijing's "four centers" function, it has developed advantageous professional groups featuring "elderly care, children's education, youth work, humanities, technology, and internationalization" covering professional directions such as government affairs and social services, cultural and people's livelihood services. The college has nearly 3,000 full-time students and over 800 adult education students, with six secondary colleges and multiple research institutes. It boasts 1 national vocational college demonstration major and 1 national key major, with an average employment rate of over 98% for graduates in the past decade.
