包头职业技术学院（Baotou Vocational & Technical College）是一所全日制公办高等职业院校，坐落于内蒙古包头市，前身为1956年建立的全国重点中专包头机械工业学校，是新中国最早的兵工院校之一。1998年升格为高等职业技术学院，成为全国首批独立设置的14所高职院校之一，2008年入选国家示范性高等职业院校，2019年获评国家优质专科高等职业院校，2019年、2022年先后挂牌成立包头工匠学院、内蒙古工匠学院。

Baotou Vocational & Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational college located in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. Its predecessor was Baotou Machinery Industry School, a national key secondary vocational school founded in 1956, and one of the earliest ordnance colleges in New China. Upgraded to a higher vocational and technical college in 1998, it became one of the first 14 independently established higher vocational colleges in China. In 2008, it was selected as a National Model Higher Vocational College, and in 2019, it was awarded as a National High-quality Junior College. In 2019 and 2022, Baotou Craftsman College and Inner Mongolia Craftsman College were successively established here.

学校现有建华、呼得木林大街两个校区，总占地面积889亩，固定资产总值7.35亿元，全日制在校生超万人。设有机械工程、电气工程等11个教学系部，43个高职专业，形成以装备制造类为传统优势，稀土新材料、风光新能源为新增长点的专业结构。拥有国家级骨干（重点）专业6个、自治区品牌专业17个，6个专业开展本科层次职业教育试点。校内实训基地170个，其中国家西北地区唯一国际焊接技师培训基地、内蒙古唯一上汽大众SCEP校企合作基地等特色平台，为学生实践能力培养提供坚实支撑。

The college has two campuses (Jianhua and Hudemulin Street) covering an area of 889 mu, with fixed assets of 735 million yuan and over 10,000 full-time students. It has 11 teaching departments including Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, offering 43 higher vocational programs. The discipline structure features traditional strengths in equipment manufacturing, with new growth points in rare earth new materials and wind-solar new energy. It boasts 6 national-level key programs, 17 autonomous region brand programs, and 6 programs试点本科层次职业教育. The college has 170 on-campus training bases, including the only International Welding Technician Training Base in northwest China and the only SAIC Volkswagen SCEP school-enterprise cooperation base in Inner Mongolia, providing strong support for students' practical ability training.

师资队伍中，专任教师601人，双师型教师占比77.3%，硕士以上学历教师占比74.54%，拥有国务院特殊津贴专家、国家级技能大师、全国黄炎培职业教育杰出教师等高层次人才。办学68年来，累计培养技术技能人才8万余名，涌现出国家级技能大师、全国技术能手等大批优秀毕业生，被誉为"草原上的工匠摇篮"，先后荣获"全国机械行业校企合作与人才培养优秀职业院校""自治区文明校园"等荣誉称号。

The teaching staff includes 601 full-time teachers, with 77.3% being "dual-qualified" teachers and 74.54% holding master's degrees or above. It has high-level talents such as experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, national-level skill masters, and outstanding teachers of the National Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award. Over 68 years of办学, it has cultivated more than 80,000 technical and skilled talents, producing a large number of outstanding graduates including national-level skill masters and national technical experts. Known as the "Cradle of Craftsmen on the Grasslands", it has been awarded honors such as "National Excellent Vocational College for School-Enterprise Cooperation and Talent Cultivation in Machinery Industry" and "Autonomous Region Civilized Campus".
