北京建筑大学是北京市和住房城乡建设部共建高校、教育部“卓越工程师教育培养计划”试点高校,其前身为1907年创建的京师初等工业学堂,历经百年发展,已成为一所以土木建筑、环境能源、测绘地理信息等学科为特色,工、管、理、法、艺等多学科协调发展的高水平特色型大学。学校现有西城和大兴两个校区,拥有一级学科博士学位授权点3个、一级学科硕士学位授权点14个,形成了从本科到硕士、博士的完整人才培养体系,为国家和地方培养了大批城乡建设领域的高级专门人才。
Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) is a university jointly built by Beijing Municipality and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and a pilot university of the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the京师初等工业学堂 founded in 1907. After a century of development, it has become a high-level characteristic university with disciplines such as civil engineering and architecture, environmental energy, surveying and mapping geographic information as its features, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines including engineering, management, science, law, and art. The university has two campuses in Xicheng and Daxing, with 3 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points and 14 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, forming a complete talent training system from undergraduate to master's and doctoral levels, and has cultivated a large number of senior professionals in the field of urban and rural construction for the country and localities.
