北京政法职业学院是经北京市人民政府批准、教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等职业院校，行政主管部门为中共北京市委政法委员会，教育业务主管部门为北京市教育委员会。学院前身为1982年建校的北京市政法干部学校，历经多次合并与更名，于2003年8月由北京市政法管理干部学院与第三人民警察学校合并组建为现校名，现为北京市示范性高等职业院校、北京市职业院校特色高水平项目建设单位。

Beijing College of Politics and Law is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Its administrative competent authority is the Political and Legal Committee of the Communist Party of China Beijing Municipal Committee, and its educational business competent authority is the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. The college originated from the Beijing Political and Legal Cadre School founded in 1982. After several mergers and name changes, it was restructured into its current name in August 2003 through the merger of the Beijing Administrative Cadre College of Politics and Law and the Third People's Police School. It is now a Beijing Model Higher Vocational College and a construction unit of Beijing vocational college characteristic high-level projects.

学院现有大兴、杨闸两个校区，总占地550亩，其中大兴校区（校本部）位于大兴国际机场交通圈北翼，占地480余亩，杨闸校区位于朝阳区常营商圈，占地70亩。设有应用法律学院、安防科技学院等6个二级学院，开设法律文秘、计算机网络技术、安全保卫管理等24个专业，其中安保专业群、智慧司法专业群为北京市职业院校特色高水平骨干专业群项目。

The college has two campuses, Daxing and Yangzha, covering a total area of 550 mu. The Daxing Campus (main campus), located in the northern wing of the Daxing International Airport transportation circle, covers more than 480 mu, while the Yangzha Campus is situated in the Changying business district of Chaoyang District, covering 70 mu. It has 6 secondary colleges including the School of Applied Law and the School of Security Technology, offering 24 majors such as Legal Secretarial Studies, Computer Network Technology, and Security Management. Among them, the Security Professional Group and the Smart Judicial Professional Group are characteristic high-level backbone professional group projects of Beijing vocational colleges.
