长春大学坐落在素有“北国春城”之称的吉林省长春市，是一所底蕴厚重、特色鲜明的省属综合性大学。学校现有三个校区，总占地面积102万平方米。其前身是1949年由原东北人民政府工业部创办的长春工业会计统计专门学校，为新中国培养了第一批工业会计统计人才。在同步国家发展与时代变革中，学校数次易名，1983年更名为吉林机电专科学校。1987年经原国家教育委员会批准，原吉林科技大学、吉林机电专科学校、长春外国语专科学校、长春职业大学4所学校合并，组建长春大学。2000年原吉林省林业学校并入。

Changchun University is located in Changchun City, Jilin Province, known as the "Spring City in Northern China". It is a provincial comprehensive university with profound heritage and distinctive characteristics. The university currently has three campuses, covering a total area of 1.02 million square meters. Its predecessor was Changchun Industrial Accounting and Statistics School founded by the former Ministry of Industry of the Northeast People's Government in 1949, which cultivated the first batch of industrial accounting and statistics talents for New China. In step with national development and the changes of the times, the university has been renamed several times, and was renamed Jilin Mechanical and Electrical College in 1983. In 1987, with the approval of the former State Education Commission, the former Jilin University of Science and Technology, Jilin Mechanical and Electrical College, Changchun Foreign Language College and Changchun Vocational University merged to form Changchun University. In 2000, the former Jilin Forestry School was merged into the university.

学校设有20个教学单位，拥有9个一级学科硕士学术学位授权点，15个硕士专业学位授权点，是吉林省博士学位授权单位立项建设高校，机械工程、食品科学与工程、材料与化工为博士学位立项建设培育学科。学科专业体系覆盖经济学、法学、教育学、文学、理学、工学、农学、医学、管理学、艺术学十大学科门类，本科招生专业49个，其中国家级特色专业2个，省级特色专业8个；国家级一流专业建设点5个，省级一流专业建设点15个；国家级人才培养模式创新实验区1个。现有教职员工1399人，其中正高级职称教师150人，副高级职称教师375人，中央直接联系高级专家、国家有突出贡献专家、国务院特殊津贴获得者、教育部新世纪人才、全国技术能手等各类高层次人才50余人。

The university has 20 teaching units, with 9 first-level discipline master's academic degree authorization points and 15 professional master's degree authorization points. It is a university approved for the construction of doctoral degree authorization units in Jilin Province, with mechanical engineering, food science and engineering, materials and chemical engineering as the key disciplines for doctoral degree construction. The discipline and professional system covers ten disciplines including economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, and art. There are 49 undergraduate enrollment majors, including 2 national-level characteristic majors, 8 provincial-level characteristic majors, 5 national-level first-class professional construction sites, 15 provincial-level first-class professional construction sites, and 1 national-level talent training model innovation experimental zone. There are 1,399 faculty members, including 150 teachers with senior professional titles and 375 teachers with deputy senior professional titles. There are more than 50 high-level talents such as senior experts directly contacted by the Central Government, experts with outstanding contributions from the country, recipients of special allowances from the State Council, new century talents from the Ministry of Education, and national technical experts.

学校立足东北地区及吉林省产业结构实际，建成国家大豆深加工技术研究推广中心、国家大豆工程技术研究中心吉林分中心2个国家级科研平台，建有残障人士智能康复及无障碍教育部重点实验室、吉林省老龄化社会创新发展战略研究中心等24个省部级科研平台。全日制学生19986人，其中硕士研究生1622人。学校2017年获评全国第二批深化创新创业教育改革示范高校，连续四次跻身中国高等教育学会发布的全国普通高校创新人才培养及学科竞赛评估结果TOP300榜。1987年，中国残联与吉林省人民政府在长春大学创建了我国第一所也是亚洲第一所培养听障、视障、肢残三类残疾大学生的高等特殊教育学院，现有在校残障学生1007人，开设12个本科专业、5个硕士点，是国内针对残障大学生招收专业最多、规模最大的院校。

Based on the industrial structure of Northeast China and Jilin Province, the university has established 2 national-level scientific research platforms, namely the National Soybean Deep Processing Technology Research and Promotion Center and the Jilin Branch of the National Soybean Engineering Technology Research Center, as well as 24 provincial-level scientific research platforms such as the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Rehabilitation and Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities of the Ministry of Education and the Jilin Provincial Strategic Research Center for Innovation and Development of Aging Society. There are 19,986 full-time students, including 1,622 postgraduates. In 2017, the university was awarded the second batch of national demonstration universities for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, and has been ranked among the TOP 300 in the evaluation results of innovative talent training and discipline competitions in national ordinary universities released by the Chinese Society of Higher Education for four consecutive times. In 1987, the China Disabled Persons' Federation and the People's Government of Jilin Province founded the first higher special education college in China and Asia at Changchun University, which cultivates college students with hearing, visual and physical disabilities. Currently, there are 1,007 disabled students, offering 12 undergraduate majors and 5 master's programs, making it the university with the most majors and the largest scale for disabled college students in China.

学校坚持国际化办学，是全国首批具有招收来华留学生资格的高等学校，与俄罗斯、英国、澳大利亚、韩国、日本等17个国家和地区的111所高校及教育机构建立了友好合作关系。现具有中国政府奖学金、孔子学院奖学金、吉林省政府奖学金、丝绸之路中国政府奖学金项目来华留学生接收资格；承担促进与俄乌白国际合作培养项目、俄乌白专业人才培养项目、中俄政府奖学金项目等10余项出国留学研修项目。与俄罗斯、韩国、乌克兰、日本的7所大学开展8个中外合作办学项目，开设19个中外合作办学特色专业，与韩国启明大学合作成立长春大学启明学院非独立法人合作办学机构，与俄罗斯太平洋国立大学开展4个本科专业与硕士专业双校园、双学历学位教育项目。

Adhering to internationalized education, the university is one of the first higher education institutions in China qualified to enroll international students. It has established friendly cooperative relations with 111 universities and educational institutions in 17 countries and regions including Russia, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea, and Japan. It currently has the qualification to receive international students under the Chinese Government Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship, Jilin Provincial Government Scholarship, and the Silk Road Chinese Government Scholarship Program. It undertakes more than 10 overseas study and training programs such as the International Cooperation Training Program with Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, the Professional Talent Training Program with Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, and the Sino-Russian Government Scholarship Program. It has carried out 8 Sino-foreign cooperative education projects with 7 universities in Russia, South Korea, Ukraine and Japan, offering 19 characteristic majors of Sino-foreign cooperative education. It has established the Qiming College of Changchun University, a non-independent legal person cooperative education institution, in cooperation with Keimyung University of South Korea, and carried out dual-campus and dual-degree education programs for 4 undergraduate and master majors with Pacific National University of Russia.
