作为国家“双一流”建设高校，重庆大学在学科建设、科学研究、师资队伍、人才培养等方面取得了显著成就。学校现有一级学科国家重点学科3个、二级学科国家重点学科19个（含培育2个），有博士后流动站29个，一级学科博士学位授权点35个，一级学科硕士学位授权点53个。在第四轮学科评估中，机械工程、电气工程、土木工程等3个学科进入A类，A-类学科14个。

As a national "Double First-Class" construction university, Chongqing University has achieved remarkable achievements in discipline construction, scientific research, faculty, and talent cultivation. The university currently has 3 national key disciplines at the first-level, 19 national key disciplines at the second-level (including 2 cultivated ones), 29 post-doctoral research stations, 35 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, and 53 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation, 3 disciplines including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering entered Class A, and 14 disciplines entered Class A-.
