重庆电子科技职业大学是一所公办本科层次职业学校，创建于1965年。2024年5月，教育部批准以重庆电子工程职业学院为基础，整合西部职教基地资源，设置重庆电子科技职业大学，成为重庆市第一所公办本科层次职业学校。学校位于重庆大学城，地处西部（重庆）科学城“智核区”，紧邻中国（重庆）自由贸易试验区等产业园区，服务西部（重庆）科学城、成渝地区双城经济圈等国家战略。

Chongqing Vocational University of Electronic Science and Technology is a public undergraduate vocational school founded in 1965. In May 2024, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was established on the basis of Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering, integrating resources from the Western Vocational Education Base, becoming the first public undergraduate vocational university in Chongqing. The university is located in Chongqing University Town, in the "core intelligent zone" of Western (Chongqing) Science City, adjacent to industrial parks such as China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, serving national strategies like Western (Chongqing) Science City and Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-City Economic Circle.

学校现有大学城、北碚、永川三个校区，占地2566.18亩，校舍77.29万平方米；总资产25.09亿元，教学科研仪器设备值2.98亿元；全日制在校生21508人，馆藏图书257.96万册（含电子图书）。设有人工智能与大数据学院等8个实体性学院及4个功能性学院，开设65个专业，分布在电子与信息、装备制造等10个专业大类，形成对接智能全产业链的专业群品牌。

The university has three campuses: University Town, Beibei, and Yongchuan, covering an area of 2566.18 mu with 772,900 square meters of school buildings. It has a total asset of 2.509 billion yuan, teaching and research equipment worth 298 million yuan, 21,508 full-time students, and 2.5796 million books in its collection (including e-books). It has 8 substantive colleges such as the College of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, and 4 functional colleges, offering 65 majors distributed in 10 professional categories including electronics & information and equipment manufacturing, forming a professional group brand that connects the entire intelligent industry chain.

学校是教育部首批现代学徒制试点单位、国家级高技能人才培训基地，主持国家级专业教学资源库3个，建成国家级重点（骨干）专业18个、国家级实训基地13个。近五年，学生获国家级技能竞赛奖项345项，其中世界技能大赛金牌1枚、全国职业技能大赛金牌3枚，毕业生去向落实率位居重庆市高校前列，为区域经济社会发展提供有力人才支撑。

The university is a pilot unit of the first modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education and a national high-skilled talent training base. It hosts 3 national professional teaching resource databases, and has built 18 national key (backbone) majors and 13 national training bases. In the past five years, students have won 345 national skill competition awards, including 1 gold medal in the World Skills Competition and 3 gold medals in the National Vocational Skills Competition.
