重庆人文科技学院源于2000年创办的西南师范大学行知育才学院，2013年经教育部批准转设为由重庆市教委主管的普通本科高校，2024年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估。学校是全国应用技术型大学战略试点研究高校、重庆市硕士专业学位研究生教育立项建设单位，坐落于重庆市合川区草街街道，占地面积1944亩，面向全国22个省（自治区、直辖市）招生，现有全日制在校学生2万余人。

Chongqing College of Humanities, Science & Technology originated from Xingzhi Yucai College of Southwest Normal University founded in 2000. In 2013, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be transformed into a regular undergraduate college under the supervision of Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, and passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2024. The university is a national strategic pilot research university for application-oriented technology universities and a project construction unit for postgraduate education of professional degrees in Chongqing. It is located in Caojie Street, Hechuan District, Chongqing, covering an area of 1944 mu, enrolling students from 22 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) across the country, with more than 20,000 full-time students.

学校秉持“厚德笃行，求真创造”的校训，践行陶行知教育思想，设有12个二级学院、45个本科专业，涵盖文、法、管、经、艺、教、理、工、农9大学科门类。教学资源丰富，拥有22个建制实验（训）中心、281个校外实践教学基地，馆藏纸质图书257万余册，电子图书152万册。近年来荣获“全国民族团结进步创建示范单位”“中国民办教育百强”等多项荣誉，培养了8万余名优秀人才，学生在全国性学科竞赛中获奖270余人次。

Adhering to the school motto of "Houde Duxing, Seeking Truth and Creation" and practicing Tao Xingzhi's educational thought, the university has 12 secondary colleges and 45 undergraduate majors, covering 9 disciplines including literature, law, management, economics, art, education, science, engineering and agriculture. It is rich in teaching resources, with 22 institutional experiment (training) centers, 281 off-campus practice teaching bases, more than 2.57 million paper books and 1.52 million e-books in the library. In recent years, it has won many honors such as "National Model Unit for National Unity and Progress Creation" and "Top 100 Private Education in China", cultivated more than 80,000 outstanding talents, and students have won more than 270 awards in national subject competitions.
